CrossFit Liquid - Fitness center in Newport News - 12680 McManus Blvd, USA

After years of excuses and multiple invites from friends, I decided to finally give CrossFit a try. I came into the gym nervous and unsure of myself. I was welcome by Coach Terrence and several athletes from day one and immediately felt like part of the community. I love the group classes (I go 4-5 days a week now) and leave feeling challenged and accomplished. Top level coaching, amazing community and as far as results…I’m down 20lbs, down 4.5% body fat and up 3.5lbs of muscle in 4 1/2 months!

I was down in the area for a few days for work and looking for a CrossFit not too far from the job site or hotel too drop in at, glad I found the time to get in at CrossFit Liquid! Terrence was on the ball attentive and helpful with the drop in process (called me before I had even gotten to my hotel) and just a great guy/good energy when I met him. They were out of shirts in my size with their logo (the cool little octopus/kettlebell design) but I gave him my address and he's going to send me a shirt once the new batch gets in (if I remember I will update) When I was there they were doing Level Method programming I believe it was called which I'd only heard of but never tried before but it's actually pretty simple and infinitely adaptable. Anna and Kelsey ran great classes keeping everyone accountable to time without being overbearing and I even got a high five from Kelsey's cute pooch when I finished! If/when I'm back in the area I'll definitely stop by again!

CrossFit Liquid is very welcoming and not intimidating to join! Coaches and other members really create a community feel that makes you want to keep showing up. I have learned so many new movements and tricks for better form. I have truly enjoyed my time at Liquid and would recommend it to anyone at any level!

I have been a part of CrossFit Liquid for the past year. I joined right after my fire academy with many goals in mind and after visiting a few of the local gyms around me found this one to be the best fit for me. Terrence was so personable the first day we met and even instructed my one on one intro sessions to teach me the basics of the trade. I’ve truly found a gym home and family here that is always there to support, coach, and challenge me when faced with any challenge!

While in Newport News over the summer for work, I looked into multiple CrossFit boxes before choosing CrossFit Liquid. My decision was based on the prompt and professional response from Coach Terrance when I first reached out and expressed interest. I never looked backed from my choice. I predominately attended the 0530 workout sessions and the three months I was a member I saw considerable physical – as well as mental – gains. The coaches were always there to offer feedback and help me improve my form, as well as motivate me when they knew I could – and should – be pushing myself harder. My fellow classmates were always friendly, encouraging, and ready to help in any way they could. Being around so many other high achievers who always gave each workout their all, was extraordinarily motivating and helped me push myself to my limits. I shall be certain to return to CrossFit Liquid whenever my travels take me to this area again.

All the trainers are great, coach T is especially awesome! Classes are easy to sign up for and the schedules are very accommodating as well. 10 outa 10 for this gym, definitely looking forward to continued training!

I honestly can't say enough good things about this place! I joined last summer after checking out a few local spots, and I'm so happy I did. The coaches and members are a top-notch crowd; friendly, helpful, progressive, and focused on community as well as fitness. I've learned so much and love the challenge. This is truly a gym community that anyone can be a part of.
