Cricket Car Hop - Hot dog restaurant in Stratford - 900 Access Rd, USA

Great prices for most things. Good food all around. The cheeseburger? I can take it or leave it at $6, it was nothing special but that’s it for the negatives. My French fries (which I always ask for well done because I like them crispy) were cooked to perfection. The chili dog was good BUT, the clear winner here, was their version of a hot dog with “the works”. The works here consists of yellow mustard, sauerkraut, sweet red relish (I’ve only ever had hot red relish before so this was a nice surprise) and their in house made hot sauce which is almost like a salsa. The flavors of this hot dog coalesced so wonderfully that I can definitely see myself driving to Stratford (completely out of the way of everything for me) just to get one. Good job, Cricket. I’ve been looking for a new, really good hot dog for awhile now.

My friend and I popped in to Cricket Car Hop for lunch one weekend and found it to be quite the hidden gem! It’s remarkably clean, and they have a great menu. Most importantly, they use Hummel hot dogs, which are my favorite! I made my own hot dog with bacon, onions, and cheese, and my friend ordered the clam strips with waffle fries, which were all delicious. I especially loved the chocolate nor’easter I had with Reese’s! I already can’t wait to come back to enjoy the patio when it gets warmer out.

My personal opinion is that this is a good restaurant. You get good quality food,service, and a good place to sit down and eat either inside or outside depending on your preference So far, the mozzarella sticks, big cricket steak, chicken parm, and shakes are really good cant complain. Cheese fries need some work, especially when you add bacon, but other than that, I recommend this spot for sure, and it feels like old school combined with new school.

Cricket hot dogs are so famous, and rightly so, I think people are sleeping on the French fries!! They are the thick crinkle cut fries of old, that actually have fluffy potato inside!! And if you're like me, what's the point if they're not hot and crispy?? Cricket fries never disappoint!!

You can’t go wrong ordering here. Hot dogs are great as well as the French fries. The fries are not the skimpy, thin cut ones but hefty and filling crinkle cut ones that taste great with salt, pepper and ketchup. Nice people too.

Never disappoints!! The hot dogs are phenomenal. Depending on how hungry you are, the portion of fries for a small order is enough for 2.

I am a Cricket Car Hop fan, still tastes good. Regular Chili Dog with Raw Onions. This was perfect for my Treat Day! I certainly recommend this location.

hot dogs are the best and i really like that i’m seeing some new items pop up and wish they would start making wraps too, would be more convenient for some healthier options for workers since it’s a heavy populated working area.
