Crestview Village Shopping Center - Shopping mall in Carmichael - Manzanita Ave, USA

I will continue to post until I no longer see this happening. This shopping center’s management and security continue to allow these vehicles to park on their property for several days at a time. This issue was previously addressed within the last 30 days. Homeless and tweekers park their vehicles here and hang out in the area during the day and commit criminal activity at night. I am on high alert as I was a victim of auto vandalism right across the street from this complex. I wish they would do their job in helping Carmichael residents have a little peace of mind when we sleep at night. They should NOT allow them to park their vehicles overnight whatsoever. This is allowing them to continue to hurt innocent victims who are paying high rents just to live in this area. I love Carmichael.. but I don’t like the crime that’s rising due to negligence. I really don’t want to move but this is very unsettling. They’re even parking near other vehicles trying to blend in and not be noticed. I WISH they do their jobs in keeping them from parking in the parking lot loitering for days on end. 8/30/23- this same vehicle has returned as of today. 9/3/23- was gone 9/1/23 and saw a security patrol but the vehicle returned a couple days later and was parked much closer to apartment complexes during Labor Day weekend. Very unsettling. 9/12/23- there seems to be some improvement! I’ve only seen certain vehicles parked for a day or so, no longer days on end. I really do appreciate that. Also I’ve learned there’s more shops being opened in this complex which will also be a PLUS I hope to deter the criminals away. There’s a bowling alley coming and they are building in the corner of Manzanita and Winding Way also. I’m excited! Changed to 2 stars hoping to increase in the future.

I have lived in this area for approx 2 years and visited this shopping center on many occasions. I love the new FoodMaxx and the other shops there. What I don’t like is the property management for this complex, as they don’t seem up to par. They allow loitering, therefore, making it unsafe for nearby residents to live peacefully. We have been victims of the criminals who will park their vehicles in the parking lot and nearby area streets to commit their crimes during the night. They are causing a great deal of expensive auto repairs for nearby residents due to vandalism of our vehicles parked on residential properties. I myself was a recent victim of my vehicle’s gas tank being drilled into and gas cyphoned out. This happened last year as well. This seriously needs to be addressed. Someone needs to do something about it. Police have been called, police reports filed… What else can be done here?

I have been going to this shopping mall since Thriftys had .05 cent ice cream cones. Been away from California for 10 years I was so shocked at the condition of my beloved mall the lack of open businesses, empty stores that use to be booming with business. Please breathe life back into my beloved mall.

This place had been here a long time, there once we're many stores here. Only a few remain. I came here today because Food Maxx just opened where the old Save Max was.

I go here because of the SaveMart grocery store. In this shopping center there is also a Big 5 sporting goods and a Bath & Body Works. I also noticed there is an AAA Auto repair on the corner. I heard yesterday that the SaveMart will be a Food Maxx next week. The store is currently undergoing renovations in preparation for the store change.

Kinda gross with the tweakers and homeless just chilling there. The parking lot is deceivingly small. I don't recommend driving your big vehicles in here. The shops aren't anything special.

Crestview village shopping center is a typical strip mall with several stores located there, and I am a patron of two of the existing stores. I eat at subway occasionally and I shop at their anchor store, save-mart. There are a fraction of the stores that used to be there. There are a lot of vacant stores now and I think that if save-mart leaves, the shopping center will fail. The storefronts have recently been painted and the buildings prettied up a little. Ross moved out a couple of years ago and it is still vacant. Maybe the rents are too high for business owners to afford, I don't know. But it would be nice to see the place fully occupied as it was years ago. I wish the owners good luck with leasing the empty stores again since this is a great location to do business.
