First time eating here despite living in the area all my life. It was one of the best steaks I have ever had, if not the best. If you're in the area, definitely make it a priority to eat here. Be sure to ask for Bob Scully. He was amazing!
Hubs and I was in the mood for steak close by home and Crescent City did not disappoint. It was not busy today and we went during lunch time. Waitress was pleasant and food was fabulous. If you want a solid no frills straight up delicious cut of steaks without breaking the bank, then this is your place. I didn't even need steak sauce bc the steak was just good without it. I had some Lyonnaise potatoes and spinach au gratin, both delicious and portions were generous. I ordered T Bone steak and hubs ordered ribeye, he regretted not getting t bone only bc of how mines looked lol. Both were just great steaks, juicy and cooked to perfection. I couldn't have asked for a better meal for my first time at Crescent City! Def would recommend 5/5!!! I would absolutely 💯 come back! Thanks for the delicious meal! 😋
I love this restaurant... It is my favorite Steak House.. The Dry Aged Steaks are Phenomenal... I have had the pleasure of eating at a few of the top steak houses in the country and I always find myself taking a trip to New Orleans just to eat here... After all this is the place that taught Ruth Chris how to butcher and prepare steaks when they decided to start serving steaks when there was only one location on Broad and Orleans in New Orleans and the place was still named Chris's before they became a chain...Steaks have a distinct dry age flavor... Very affordable... Side dishes are even more affordable... You will never be disappointed here... Melt in the mouth tenderness on the steaks..we always eat family style order different cuts and enjoying them together.... I love this place and hopes it never changes... Small family owned spot...
Great atmosphere, and the food was on another level. The T-bone was so big that I had to take the rest home. Had 3 meals from 1 steak.
We had reservations and didn't have to wait long, it was easy to find and the lot was small but we found parking in it easily. I liked the faux tin ceiling but the chairs were wobbly and the plants in the foyer were crying for care. We had reservations and didn't have to wait long, it was easy to find and the lot was small but we found parking in it easily. Our server was a wonderful young man. We tried the Chateaubriand for two. It was a generous portion of beef, large asparagus spears and steamed broccoli. It was ok, beef was memorable b/c it had very little taste but was cooked well, our friends' had gristle. We didn't bother with dessert or doggy bags. It hadn't changed since I'd lunched there in the 80s. Doubt that we'd return.
This place was a massive let down especially for the money. I got the shrimp cocktail appetizer as well as the mushroom appetizer. The shrimp one came with 5 cocktail shrimp hooked over the edge of a bowl and I believe it was over $10 and the mushroom app was equally expensive and only came with 3. Everything is a la carte here. The small salad was like 4 tablespoons of iceberg lettuce with one cherry tomato and it was $5. The garlic bread was dry and didn't have any toasted color and had virtually no butter. The side dishes were bland with no seasoning on any of the potato options. The steak was 80 percent fat and it was over $35. The only thing I enjoyed was the cheesecake. I had high hopes and was very very let down. It was so expensive and I've honestly had better steaks at tgi Fridays
Wonderful steak at a really, really modest price compared to other steakhouses. Tender and cooked precisely to medium rare per my request. The sides and appetizers could be more interesting, but I was content with the Lyonnaise potatoes.
Love this place! Steaks are excellent and the sides are great. Definitely get the onion rings too! On this visit, we celebrated my Mom's 86th birthday! Reserve a private booth in advance for a romantic rendezvous...

This was one of my favorite museums during my visit. I learned so much. Didn't know about the free People of Color in Louisiana. Imagine if they had been allowed to thrive... how different America would be today.
Best coffee. Best staff. Best location! Newer coffee shop that is above and beyond what has been available in the area before now. Locally owned and operated. Queer inclusive. Something about this spot makes you leave feeling like your battery is
