The two bridges on US 90 that cross the Mississippi River from New Orleans to the Right bank are known locally as the Crescent City Connection. We find that the bridges are elegant in appearance and generally do a very good job. Currently the lights that add to the appearance at night are out, but the State has approved funds and repair should be in the near future.
Cool bridge to see. Interesting construction
Left on a 7 day cruise off the port It's kind of hard to find Is area was nice and clean 👌 For 7 day cruises was around a 140 to park the car in the garage
The best place to photograph this bridge is actually from the Mississippi River Trail at a spot just northeast from this bridge's marker. There is an inlet from the intersection of Socrates St. and Brooklyn Ave. After crossing the railroad tracks, there's a big empty lot to the right to park your car (assuming you're driving with all your camera equipment). Climb up the levee and you'll get a nice panoramic view of both the city and the bridge. If you're really ambitious, you can fit both in a super wide panoramic shot. The angle is slightly off compared to the photo spot labelled "New Orleans Downtown View" just north of here in Algiers Point, but the addition of being able to add the Riverwalk and the bridge to your composition might be worthwhile to check out this spot.
I looked at this bridge as our ship was sailing away. Such a nice atmosphere...the whole area was nice!
Oh ehm geeeeeeee!!!! It was just as beautiful as the pictures! I feel accomplished to have seen it with my own eyes on the Viking ship
My daughter and I were driving over last evening and she was so amazed at the beautiful sunset. Her phone wasn't charged as usual so she reached for mine.I try to tell her always have your camera and phone ready and fully charged so that she can capture the moment.
Such a large, beautiful bridge. It's the most downstream bridge that spans on the Mississippi. I stayed at an airbnb nearby, and loved the view of the bridge every morning.
Cutest gem in New Orleans. Tarra's Body Pump class at Fit Therapy was truly exceptional. Her dedication to educating the class was evident, creating an atmosphere that left me amazed. She was remarkably attentive, making the overall experience both e
