Crescent Bay Inn Laguna Beach - Hotel in Laguna Beach - 1435 N Coast Hwy, USA

I cannot say enough how much my friend and I enjoyed our stay here! The staff was so polite and helpful from the start and made sure we had everything we needed, such as towels and cutlery. They have beach chairs and toys that guests are able to take down to the beach which was super convenient. We had an ocean view room and absolutely loved our view! The only con was the air conditioning at some points, but it was definitely manageable and would kick in after a bit. I plan on staying here again next time I visit, as the value simply cannot be beat and it's such a great location with the area having lots to offer!

This hotel is truly exceptional! You can't find a better place to stay in Laguna. The price is very reasonable for the value you receive, and the location is absolutely perfect, providing easy access to all the local attractions. Sal, the owner, is phenomenal. He goes above and beyond to ensure that your stay is as welcoming and comfortable as possible. His hospitality really sets this hotel apart from others. The only downside I experienced was with the air conditioning, which was a bit inconsistent and didn't cool the room as effectively as I would have liked. Nonetheless, this minor issue did not overshadow the overall wonderful experience at this hotel.

This is a family run property, and they do their very best to accommodate you. The condition of the hotel is probably 2-2.5 stars. It was our most affordable option for what we needed. Some things to be aware of: the wifi is terrible; in fact, we used our personal hotspot the whole time as the wifi basically didn’t work. Leaving the hotel by car onto the Coast Highway, your front underside of the car will scrape the payment. Happens to all cars. The ice machine is locked from 9 pm to 9 am. The television has limited channels. I wanted to watch the Scottish Open (major golf event) and it was not available. Parking seemed plentiful, but it’s tricky, especially for larger vehicles. All in all, we would stay there again.

This hotel has outstanding management with a personal touch and is conveniently located and well-priced. I accidently left my watch next to the room safe. (It was black on a black surface and hard to see.) I phoned the manager after returning home and told him I thought I had left it. The watch was found by another guest a couple of days later. The manager asked me to email a label and he sent it back to me immediately!||Besides the excellent service, the hotel has newly remodeled rooms and is quiet. It is only a couple of blocks from my favorite beach in Laguna, and only a short drive or 20+ minute walk from downtown.

Great location with parking included which was huge for the proximity to the beach. The walk to the beach is about 5-10min. You have to walk down a mild-moderate dirt hill, through a mini tree tunnel, down a short stretch of road, then down the stairs to the main Crescent Bay beach. It’s about a 25min walk to Downtown and there are two tram stops about a 5-8 min downhill walk from the Inn. The staff were great and very personable and helpful! They have free water in the office and they have some beach chairs, umbrellas, bodyboards, and beach towels. Beds were comfy, fridge and microwave worked well, AC was in a bit of a weird location partially blocked by the fridge but it worked well. Would definitely stay here again! Of note- be careful exiting the parking lot, the road/curb to the main road is a little weird so it’s easy to scrap a low car undercarriage.

This hotel was perfect for our needs. The beds are comfortable. AC works like a dream. Good shower too... This is a great spot to relax while being within walking distance of the beach and downtown Laguna! Front desk rep was fantastic during check-in and gave great recommendations for local sights and food in the area!

The manager was very polite and helpful. The hotel itself is located way north of downtown (which is probably why the rates are excellent), so plan to take the trolley or pay for parking where all the shops and restaurants are. There were a few restaurants that were within walking distance. It’s a 5-10 minute walk to the beach, with some of the path being quite steep. The room reeked of Fabuloso when we first checked in. Hotels need to use cleansers with more mild fragrances. It took about 1 day to air out and smell neutral. There were light bulbs out on the vanity, but it didn’t make much of a difference. Bathroom was tiny. There’s a fridge, tiny microwave, and a Keurig. The hotel allows you to get 2 bottles of water per person, in the main office fridge, per day for free. Pretty good, because most hotels charge for that. There’s covered parking for your car (must have been an apt building at some time). WiFi is terrible. Not a good place if you need to get any work done. There’s no daily maid service. The area around the hotel was pretty quiet. Lastly, the AC worked well, but was very noisy cycling off and on.

Loved this hotel! Super close to every single thing, right next to the way down to Crescent Bay, and the room was very clean and hospitable. 10/10 Recommend staying here for your next trip to Crescent Bay or Laguna.
