I recently had the pleasure of dining at Creole House in New Orleans and it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. What stood out the most was the incredibly efficient service - from the moment we were seated, which was almost immediate, to the prompt attention we received from our server. The menu offered a good variety, catering to both children and adults. The chicken tenders from the kids’ menu were a hit with the little ones - nothing extraordinary but a safe and satisfying choice. My grilled chicken salad with Italian dressing was exactly what I expected, wholesome and flavorful. A special mention must go to the oysters on the half shell. They were remarkably fresh, although they were still attached to the muscle, which was a slight inconvenience. However, this didn’t detract much from the quality of the dish. The standout for me was the ‘Taste of New Orleans’ platter. It’s a great way to experience a range of flavors that the restaurant and the city’s cuisine have to offer. Each item on the platter was a delightful representation of New Orleans’ culinary spirit. In summary, Creole House in New Orleans is a place I would recommend for anyone seeking a genuine Creole meal with quick and friendly service. It’s a solid choice for experiencing the local cuisine, and the atmosphere is just right for a casual yet memorable meal.

One of my fave spots!!!! Love this place. All the food we ordered were beyond delicious. The flavors married well together, well prepared and well seasoned… This place is a must when you visit! The drinks was out of this world! We ordered the gulf shrimp yaya, sautéed crab claws, fried alligator, creole stuffed fish, charged grilled oysters, and bacon garlic oysters.

We had a great dinner there last night. The food, atmosphere and service were excellent! I had the Blackened Chicken Jambalaya and my wife had the Canal Street Redfish with shrimp. Both were fabulous! Their cocktails were also very tasty. The restaurant is on Canal Street, just a few blocks’ walk from Bourbon Street, in a nice area.

This was our first time at this restaurant. We had to wait in line to get a table. We waited over 30 minutes. The hostess provided outstanding customer service. Once at the table, the waiter did not provide good service. The drinks were overpriced to get about 6 ounces in a miniature, not an adult, glass. The calamari was served cold, not warm or hot, with a quarter cup of sauce. When we asked for some more sauce to cover the amount of calamari, we were told that it was an additional charge. The cup of gumbo was hot and delicious. Our entrees did not come out at the same time. While our family members ate and finished their meals, we were still waiting for our entrees. When our entrees did come out, the chicken was cold, not warm or hot, and the rice was served hot. We did speak with the General Manager, who apologized and only charged us for our drink and gumbo. The reason why I gave 2 stars instead of 1 is because the General Manager made an attempt to positively resolve our poor experience at this restaurant. However, given the high level of dissatisfaction with service and food, we should not have had to pay anything. We will not return to this location. I do not recommend this restaurant at this location.

Great croele place on canal st. Large restaurant with friendly staff. Tried fried alligator for the first time. Taste a bit like chicken, few pieces are chewy. Got a sampler of different local popular dishes. Also a salad. Left my hat and they were nice to keep it until I realized and came back for it.

Great creole food. Char grilled oysters were fantastic. Gumbo, red beans and rice, shrimp etteffue were great. Shrimp po boy was a little different than others but super tasty. Only drawback was the service. Staff seemed overwhelmed and didn't pay much attention to us or other tables

Have been here before when visiting Nawlins. Love this place! Dee was our server, she was fabulous! All of the food was great! Our husband's had oysters and OMGoodness! I have never seen oysters so big and they loved them! And don't forget to finish it with dessert! Both the pecan dessert and the bread pudding were to die for! And they were HUGE. You can easily share.

Really great place. I enjoyed everything. We came for lunch. They serve breakfast, brunch, and lunch. Shrimp and grits were made with a tomato based sauce which gave them a sweet acid flavor. Excellent! My daughter had red beans and rice with alligator sausage and my granddaughter had a kids waffle which was still the size of a plate. I had oysters as well and they were fresh and large. I recommend highly.
