Cream & Amber - Featured Reviews (412)
Cream & Amber is a staple spot for me and the owners -- best friends running a community bookstore/cafe -- are essentially living out my dream/fantasy. Food/Drinks: -Rose Cardamom Latte: This might be one of my new favorite coffee beverages PERIOD. It was so good! The rose is definitely present and carries the drink until the end when the cardamom takes over. I think this is a seasonal drink and I'm already mourning when it's taken off the menu. -Homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies: These are delicious, especially if you happen to catch them as they're coming out of the oven! -Lavender Bread: I love lavender and this bread doesn't disappoint! -Great local beers and ciders on tap. -Lots of salads, sandwiches, etc. Parking: I never have an issue parking. There is street parking out front and a small lot out back. Renting/Reserving Space: There are desks and offices that you can rent upstairs, otherwise you can reserve the community room ($25 per hour) or a large free table. All in all? This is a lovely community spot with really wonderful staff, food, books, and more! I can't recommend it enough.
Very cute but tiny little space. I loved the egg sandwich and the book shelf. Overall lovely local coffee shop, will come again.
I have always loved the concept of a combination bookstore and cafe, and Cream and Amber does it so well. To top it off, they also have some nice beer and wine. Covering your reading, study, and casual meeting needs all times of day! The servers have always been kind and responsive on my many morning visits. The menu for food is not long, but C&A does a good job with their sandwiches. The book selection focuses on recent fiction, emphasizing the LGBTQ+ community. Dogs are welcome on the outside patio.
The cutest coffee and bookstore you’ll come across! The seasonal coffee drinks are spectacular as well. The books are diverse and plentiful!
I absolutely love this place. Great place to work remotely - their coffee is amazing, food is delicious (and they have tons of healthy options), and I love the bookstore vibe!
One of the best bookstores in the Twin Cities. Awesome variety on their menu, especially for the size of the place. Book selections are abundantly inclusive, engaging, relevant topics. Easy to find titles. The atmosphere is perfect for large book club meetings or small individual work sessions. In the warm months, they are super friendly to dogs on their cozy outdoor patio.
Shout out to Lucas and Maggie for being great employees. This place is so cool to come and chill at. They have beer and coffee!!! There coffee flavors were unique. It’s my new favorite hang out spot.
Cream and Amber is an absolute delight! You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. I’ve never had to wait long for what I’ve ordered. Whether you’re sitting up at the bar or at one of their tables, it’s a great atmosphere. The baristas are friendly and kind and provide excellent service. I love the book selection, and the local events they put on. C&A has a loyal customer in me.
I went to Kiddywampus in Hopkins for the first time the other day! What an amazing toy store! They literally have a little bit of everything including, Barbie, Legos, and Playmobile. I saw art kites, puppets, science kits, books, dress up clothes, st
Really liked this brewery. The layout was fantastic. Lots of outdoor seating, both shaded and not. Inside the taproom was cozy. It's located in Downtown Hopkins, they don't have a ton of room, but they make it work. There is a good selection of beers
Casa Deli is a hole in the strip mall one could drive right by. I only heard about it because my friend lives in the area. The locals definitely know about Casa Deli. Itâs small. Counter ordering. Just a few places to sit and eat. They do a LOT of
Munkabeans Coffeehouse in Hopkins has a warm, fresh, homemade feel. From the blueberry muffins cooling on the counter to the local artistsâ work displayed on the walls, the coffee shop has a neighborhood vibe that is very inviting. My husband order
Though ~$13 per pint, it is worth it! Unique weekly flavors, a cult following, and IMPECCABLE ice cream is the name of the game here. Zero ice, perfect density, sublime creaminess, and occasional weekly $5 baked goodies, this is the ULTIMATE echelon
This Dunn Brothers location is wonderful. The baristas are so friendly, the atmosphere and decor are great, and the coffee is always delicious. They also have lots of good options for breakfast and lunch. My favorites are the vanilla nirvana, the pis
I had a lot of questions about the different styles, colors and sizes from all of my internet research. I found myself in good care with my afternoon weekday visit. I was offered to try both women and menâs as I liked. I had access to a fair offer
Got to take a walk down memory lane here. This building used to be Hopkins Eisenhower High School, where my wife and I graduated from in 1971. The floors are still the same! The library is now a big room used for conferences and presentations. The th
