Very cool place. Loved all the history and info. Very nice staff and building. Be sure to get a tour. A plus on the tour guild. Had a blast. Very fun. Looking forward to next time
Crazyhorse tourist center. They charge $15 a person and if you want to go to the rock have to pay $150 besides the the entrance fee. Save yourself some money before the entrance and park outside and just take pictures. Inside the building are beautiful like American Native cultures and history. Which I did enjoy. But to pay $15 on top of campsites and gas. They had a movie explaining how the whole idea can about which is included in your fee. They could of only charged per vehicle or less money. I honestly didn’t enjoy it liked I had hoped. :( maybe if i could of went to the top of the mountain and saw the project would of been cool but not for one hundred and something.
Lots to do and see. Reasonably priced. The museum, theater, and gift shop were great. We really enjoyed the movie. The light show, idk, just seemed odd. I hope to return to see more progress over the years.
I will say I was slightly uneasy about ownership of the land/memorial/foundation. It does seem more about supporting the sculpture’s family than about supporting Indian heritage. When I was at Monument Valley, it was all operated by the Indian reservation, that is not the case here.
Great place!!! Awesome to learn about this monument. Heard all about it from people, and now I know for myself. Trust me, not all of what you hear is accurate. Go learn for yourself. Your family will love this place. Great history, great story, great time. Be prepared to stay here all day. This is not a, on the way to Rushmore stop, this is a dedicated visit! Deserves the time and attention.
The monument itself is stunning and a modern marvel of engineering. I enjoyed reading all of the construction history on the building of the monument and how big it will be when finished. Entry is a little spendy though and the museums aren't that great. At least I hope my entry fee goes towards the building and final product of the monument.
Wow. So much to see and do. The artwork alone was captivating and the displays were wonderful. The demonstrations were amazing. You could spend hours here. It was fun to be able to take a small stone from "Crazy Horse" (or"Thunder") mountain and I enjoyed my time here overall.
It was one of my most amazing experiences since being in the USA!
Private tour up to Crazy Horse - walked along his arm - and touched his face. The granite rock is absolutely spectacular up close.
Thank you so much for everyone involved in this truly amazing experience :)
The back story alone should be enough to make you want to visit. This monument in the making is truly one of a kind. Not only do they have an exhibit hall, but they also have a bin at the end so you and your family can take a small piece that has been carved out of the mountain. My kids loved the displays, and the employee’s were super friendly. If you're in the area, don't hesitate to stop by. Also, fun fact Crazy Horse is privately funded and has not and will jot accept federal funding.

This is by far the most awe-inspiring trail I have ever done. The views of the surrounding area and the rock formations are breathtaking. The photos can't truly capture the beauty here.
The trail was a bit more difficult than we expected. A couple
This is an amazing local gem. The food was beautifully delicious and the staff were all delightful. I loved my breakfast salad, and the rice pudding was...breathtaking.
Make sure to make a reservation so you don't have to wait, and then enjoy. Hjem w
This is our second time coming and is hands down best combination of culinary, dining, and service experience weâve had in the Black Hills so far. This is a high standard to beat as we tend to be foodies. Our meal was impeccable. My husband and I b
I drove an hour with my kids just to eat here and as usual it didn't disappoint! Excellent food! Very busy, which was expected. Staff worked quickly to get people seated and orders in for those of us waiting by the door. This made the wait short! We
Absolutely loved this campground! The views were amazing! Easy access to everything in Custer State Park. Host on site and very helpful. The restrooms were very clean. My 25' trailer fit perfectly in spot #3. I would highly recommend this state park
We had a great experience at Custer. There were hundreds of bison and we were able to watch several bulls testing each other. It was an awe inspiring moment. We saw a coyote, a handful of whitetail deer, wild donkeys (including a baby) and literally
Quite possibly the best Reuben sandwich I have ever tastedâ¦and I order one whenever I eat out, if it is on the menu! Definitely stop by when in town. Nice people, great eats and a clean space.
We stopped based on a local friends recommendation. Miner's cup did not disappoint. The kids love their hot chocolates. I was happy to see an Iced Caramel Macchiato on their menu. The 20 oz comes with 3 shots, which is standard. I'm used to quads.
I really appreciate that they mark gluten free items on the menu and accommodate people with celiac disease.
You can order on the screen in the entry room or at the counter. Cute Cafe, and efficient service. I enjoyed the gf crustless quiche.

We stayed at Stockade Lake North in our truck tent on a site with no electric hookup. There was plenty of space at our site to feel private, despite the campground being almost completely occupied. We also had a picnic table and fire pit (the hosts t
