Cragun's Resort, Golf & Conference - Resort hotel in Brainerd - 11000 Craguns Dr, USA

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Cragun's! The views, amenities, activities, restaurants, bars, and golf courses exceeded our expectations. I visited with my husband and father, and we all had an incredible time over our five-day stay. We spent one night in a newly remodeled room and the remainder of our trip in a cabin. Both the room and the cabin were immaculate, with plenty of extra towels and dishes. Everything was within walking distance, making it convenient to enjoy dinner and drinks. We played on both golf courses and were thoroughly impressed by their quality and challenges. The staff at the pro shop and the cart attendants were exceptional, enhancing our overall experience. We also rented paddleboards and kayaks to enjoy the lake one day and the process was super easy and convenient placement of all water crafts! I would highly recommend this trip to anyone looking to have a fantastic time with family, a partner, or friends. A definite 10/10 experience!

We rented a suite with a kitchen, which was much more affordable than a cabin. It worked out great for our part of 2 adults and 3 kids. We did invest in wristbands and made use of them with canoe, kayak and banana boat rides. The room was clean and comfortable. The kitchen had enough basics to cook simple meals, although I would recommend precooking meals or assembling casseroles ahead of time to warm. There is no dishwasher, so plan on washing dishes, which I didn’t mind. Everything is within close walking distance and we loved the view of the lake.

Everything about my trip to Cragun's was AWESOME. The location is amazing with so much to do. The grounds were super clean and safe feeling. Many families out and about having fun. Tons to do for kids of all ages. My favorite part was the beautiful beach area - clear water and fun water toys in shallow areas for kids. I will definitely be back. We had a lake view room and it was really cozy with super comfortable beds.

The place was massive with many amenities. Our room was rustic but comfortable. We enjoyed the indoor pool, we walked by the beach but didn’t go in, though there were many people that did. The AC in the room more than kept up even though the outside temperature was over 30c. Irma’s kitchen was nice and the food was good. We also went on a Minnesota BBQ cruise which was a great way to see the lake and learn some of the history. The resort is a short (20 minute) drive to Baxter for shopping with a Costco, Target, Walmart etc. Many people were fishing, tubing, and water skiing. This is a great place for couples and families with children.

This resort is the quintessential Minnesota summer family vacation. SO kid-friendly, tons of things to do (beach games, dining, a sports center, awesome indoor pool area with tons of video games, playground, fire pits for beach fires!) We had an amazing time. Our room was in the main lodge and we had a lake view - super cozy beds ,and despite being summer and busy with families - we slept amazing and didn't hear a thing! Overall, don't hesitate - this place is so good!

We have been staying here for years and always a friendly and positive experience. This year we stayed in one of the hilltop cabins (different than hillside). The hilltop cabins do require that you navigate stairs to access them. They are almost built into the hillside. Perfect view of south beach and a good location central to other activities. There is only one keycard entrance and that requires you walk through the bedroom on the upper level. There are doors to the outside on the lower level, but no way to access them if you lock them. The cabins are dated but very clean. The fridge is apartment size which was adequate for us but something to be aware of. The kitchen was adequately stocked with the basic necessities. The upper bedroom does not have a TV or an AC unit, the living room area has a TV and an AC unit and the lower bedroom has a separate AC unit and a TV. It all worked out good for us but good things to know as you plan as there is very little information online regarding these cabins. We were in cabin 678. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely book these cabins again.

Not bad, not great. It doesn't really compare to the other resorts on gull lake, but its also not as expensive. Our room was great, but the food and service were both inconsistent. The breakfast was a joke, don't waste your money on the breakfast "buffet" it was terrible. The counter service pizza was great and accommodating to dietary needs. Irma's restaurant was hit or miss. Mushroom Arancini was awesome, artichoke dip was awesome, steaks were just okay, kinda tough and cooked past the temperature we asked. The only part that actually sucked was the hotel service. Most of the hotel staff just seemed like they could not care less, and the majority of people we talked to had no idea what they were talking about. If you ask any question, get ready for 4 different answers that are probably all wrong.

Great new rooms. We booked the new houses on the 14th hole. The new 18 needs some time to mature as the greens are a bit rough right now. In a few years they should be good. Clubhouse staff is super friendly. Lots of blind shots so pick your line wisely.
