Cracker Barrel Old Country Store - American restaurant in Houston - 14765 North Fwy, USA

We, as a family, used to enjoy eating here. Today would most likely be the last time we eat here. Waiting 30 minutes to sit, it would have been worth it if the food was the same as it used to be The waiting an additional 25 minutes for our food to be served, would have been worth it, if the food was good. It was not. Very small portions, the biscuits was probably the only good thing about the meal. I ordered the roast, it was dry. Even with the gravy on it. I love the dumplings, or at least I use to love the dumplings. I ordered 2. To go with my meal. Both had 1 large piece of dumpling, that was not cooked in the middle ( pictured) needless to say very disappointed.

April was a great server. The food was awesome and with a table of 5 with 3 children 10 under, I would certainly recommend this location.

Definitely the worst experience I've ever had at any Cracker Barrel location. Was sat immediately but our server walked by our table at least 5 times before she said anything to us. Not even a quick "be right with you." When we finally ordered, our food took much longer than expected. Not one did our server come by the table to check on our drinks in the meantime or offer any cornbread/biscuits while we waited. I had to get up and walk to the kitchen to ask if our food was almost ready. When it finally came out, we were again not checked on about the quality of our meal. I couldn't wait to get out of there. I will definitely not be coming back to eat. To the manager of this location, do better! Train your servers that the needs of the customer are more important than hiding back in the kitchen on their cellphones.

Horrible experience. My food was nasty, and it looked unpleasant! My daughter had burnt pieces in her food. Talked to the manager, and she tried to tell me that the Mac and cheese my daughter ate wasn't burnt. it's just because the food was baked. Absolutely not! I eat crackler barrel 2x a week in Pearland . My experience with them is above amazing every time. I will never come to this location ever again. I love my food 😋 and this just isn't it.

Food wasn't good. I got the new chicken and bacon or something was burnt and gave it burnt flavor. Even the cornbread was well done. My sweet potato was swimming in everything else, had more everything else than sweet potato. My mac and cheese was the only thing that tasted good. The server was nice, but the cook's need to actually be trained or not left without experience to help them.

Food was not worth the drive this time. Looked yummy but was not hot. I ordered strawberry cheesecake pancakes and she said they were out of strawberries so I had to settle for a blueberry 🙄 Go to the store so that customers would get exactly what they order.

We used to go often but we had not been because stuff and life happens. We went recently and the wait wasn't too bad but now they charge for the biscuits? They used to be complementary. We had to ask for silverware, and we're forgotten for most of our visit. Waitress seemed frustrated. Not sure we will be back. Some of the food was over cooked. We had breakfast meals and some lunch. They had no fries by noon 😕. Was disappointed the service and food quality have gone down.

This location was way better than the one I last reviewed. The food portion was very nice, and the service was outstanding. The place was clean and it looked like the staff worked very well together.
