I love this place! The meal was delicious and worth the price. The rolls were delicious as well, very flaky and buttery, absolutely perfect. Our waitress was very nice and calm. And we shopped around in the store lots of cool things to see!
I would like to praise the staff at this Cracker Barrel, we arrived after 9pm, even though the restaurant would be closing at 10pm, with a party of 11. The server we had was spectacular, and I really wish I knew her name to praise her publicly but I am sure this location can figure who she was, she kept up with our drinks and made sure everything was good and if I could give her more than 5 stars I would. The only reason I gave 4 stars for the food was that the bacon came out limp and barely cooked but when it was brought to our servers attention it was recooked and came back out perfect, the first cup of coffee that was served was cold, but out server brewed a fresh pot for us and a salad was ordered without bacon but it came out with bacon and was quickly replaced. We never felt rushed nor did we feel like we were causing any problems by coming in at such a late time with a big group. If you couldn't tell, our server was the reason that our experience here was great, and a lot of other restaurant servers could learn from her.
Our meals were delicious overall, and the portions are generous. I would recommend the chicken and dumplings. Usually the fried apples are really good, but I will admit we were a tad disappointed this time. The flavor was good, but sadly the apples were too hard. The biscuits and corn muffins are always a favorite! The huge fireplace added charm and warmth to our dinner. Our server was pleasant, but not overly attentive. We would recommend eating here, and we will go back again.
If you want a VERY country dining experience, this is your place! It is almost always buzzing with people and families (so if you are anxious is crowds, please be aware). There are not many options for different dietary needs (i.e. gluten-free, low sugar/carb, vegetarian). However, it should be noted that staff are very willing to talk and make suggestions!
The waitress we had only visited the table 4 times, and it was hard to track her down for refills; this is not typical and may have been due to the busy time of day. Over all the experience was a good one!
The atmosphere was cozy with the fireplace burning. Our server was very polite and very upbeat. Our food left a lot to be desired,my husbands meal was barely warm and it tasted like everything was prepared earlier and sitting for quite some time.
Dumplings were cold and pure mush. Server did not come back to check on our meal. Waited and tried to get her attention or the attention of another server. When she finally returned she handed us our check and I explained we were not happy with our meal. She said sorry would you like a box to take it home. It was a very expensive meal that went to waste.
Our visit was not as good as usual. I ordered coke abs had to send it back because it was all syrup. Our server told us that they have been having trouble with the soda machine and that they were out of coke and asked if I wanted another soda option. I choose water. My husband ordered decaf coffee and it was cold. Our server did bring out another hot cup of coffee. My cornbread was very hard to cut and very crunchy in the outside. It was edible but not very enjoyable. I ordered the maple bacon chicken, which I always order as nd the chicken was very thick and kind of tough. Plus there were way too many scallions on the chicken. I scraped them off. It was edible but slightly disappointing visit.
Everyone was very polite and helpful. The waitress went above to make sure that she had our order correct and kept checking to make sure if we needed any refills or needed anything else.

Excellent service, atmosphere, and food! I agree with others' comments that this is a 'secret' of sorts in York. We really enjoyed our dinner, especially the lobster bisque special. Their drinks are great as well as the desserts, too. Entree was cook
This may be my new favorite place!!! Our waitress Meghan was so sweet, attentive, and made jokes with us as well. They put the wrong cheese on my burger (i would have been fine with it) but she noticed beforehand and insisted on getting it fixed!! Th
Amazing indoor exhibit with many different species on display! So much to see inside before venturing out into the surrounding forest. Great hiking trails with varying levels of difficulty. I'm sure it would be even more beautiful when everything is
