Cracker Barrel Old Country Store - American restaurant in Gastonia - 1821 Remount Rd, USA

Had an amazing dinner! Ordered the sirloin tips, grilled chicken tenders and shrimp with pintos and collards. Hubby ordered chicken and dumplings with collards, pintos and fried apples. EVERYTHING was fresh, hot and delicious. Our server, Taylor, was a sweetheart...very friendly and made sure our evening was enjoyable. We even found some bargains in the shop! Only complaint: menus need to be replaced...both were torn and ragged.

Breakfast food all day! or in this case until 2PM, what with tonight being Christmas Eve and all 🎄 Food is good, cooked just right and served right away. Almost no wait for our biscuits, gravy, eggs, pancakes, grits, chicken. You name it we ate it. April our server is excellent! Never an empty glass when she's on duty 😁 The main thing is finding parking. But as soon as you do, get inside and get seated. And then get ready for a great Sunday luncheon.

I recently had a meal at Cracker Barrel and I must say, the food was delicious. However, the ambiance of the restaurant could have been better. The place was a bit messy and not as tidy as I would have liked. Despite that, the staff was friendly and efficient. I recommend this restaurant for its tasty dishes, but suggest management looks into improving its tidiness. Overall, it's a great spot to satisfy your cravings while enjoying a casual, country-style meal.

Place was really crowded, we couldn’t even sit on the chairs due to tables being so close together. Food is good but it takes so long to get it, I am a regular and food takes at least an hour or more even on not busy days.

Love the atmosphere, the fireplace and smell of a fire with seasoned quality service. Food was great and never disappointed. Always crowded so be prepared to wait.

Dining Wed night at 8pm it was deserted same as the night before. Online menu did not match the in store, they would not make the pancake tacos. No biggie ordered grandmas sampler instead. Eggs were a little runny, but hot and fresh. Pancakes were perfect crisp on one side and fluffy in the middle not at all rubbery. Ordered sugar cured ham but got super salty country ham. Bacon was good. Server Brenda was great though very nice not sure how many stars on her apron but definitely 5 star for me.

First visit to this location, and the best service I've had at any location by a hostess. The gentleman that seated us was a different story, not sure he wanted his job. Wasn't rude but acted as if he didn't care. Food on the other hand was great. Would be happy to return again.

Food portions are almost back to normal size. We haven't been back for about a year because every single portion was getting smaller and smaller. Lately, we have been getting rock hard biscuits. Wait time to be serve is getting longer and longer. We arrived at 6pm and didn't leave till 8pm!!! Two hours from when we sat and when we left. Many other patrons were getting very agitated because of the long wait for their server. Many times I am in the mood for something, like the pot pie, and every single time I go, they are out of it. I order something else, and they are out of that too. Guess I'll wait another year till I go back.
