Been a minute since we've gone. Food was delicious, but it can take a minute. Tried the pancake tacos for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. Would love if they added it to the regular breakfast menu. Place was busy, but the wait wasn't too long considering the holiday season.
This place is crazy. First Cracker Barrel I have been too. They seam to make everyone wait in the massive gift shop/waiting area. Food was good and well portioned, that was after they brought the sides to the table 20 minutes before the chicken was done and almost 50 minutes after our waitress took our order. So by the time I had a full meal, the sides were cold. Staff was friendly and even mildly attentive only had to wait 10 minutes and ask twice to get a refill.
The attached gift store really ups the atmosphere and ambiance, there is a lot to look at and browse through. The food itself is simple and decent for what it is. A friend and I both got different sampler platters to try more things. The meatloaf was a bit tasteless as was the chicken and dumplings. The fried chicken and the grilled marinated chicken however were delicious and juicy. The steak tips in garlic butter were a bit chewy and on the salty side. The fried shrimp was okay. I also found the fried pickles to be very salty and was hoping for a more vinegar or acidic taste to help cut some of the greasiness. The biscuit beignets were delicious and I would recommend them for dessert. For sides, I enjoyed the hash brown casserole, the mac and cheese was okay. Overall food was decent and well priced. Our server was very nice, she apologized for being slow but we didn't even notice that as we were focused on food and conversation.
Loved cracker Barrel as a kid. Took 15+ minutes for waiter and at least another 40min just to get our food. Service was so slow, me and the kids played 30+ games of tic tac toe, another 20+ games of the peg game and still no food or biscuits. Never did get biscuits was told when food was brought they were out of biscuits, how do you run out. Food was bland. Will be the last time I visit. I was in no hurry but the biscuits should of been brought out right after we ordered our meals not told at 53 min when you bring my food you are out.
What even is this? This is not bacon. It was yellow. It was so disgusting. I contacted corporate and they sent me a free dessert card for a $50 breakfast. I thought the rule was if you wouldn't eat it you don't serve it.Cracker barrel normally has the best food and even better gift shop.
This place is always so fun to go to. Food is rarely disappointing, and the store has so much to look at. I always find great gifts for everyone for any occasion. And the prices are fair. Good food, clean place, great service. Food came out hot and fast. As we enjoyed everything we ordered.
The food here is consistently good! The price point is fair, and service is always great. The store is an amazing year round. You almost hope for a wait to be seated so you can take your time having a look around. The Chicken fried Chicken is a 10/10 evertime for me.
Wonderful experience! Jackie was an amazing server. Attentive but not a helicopter parent! Food was good as always. I mean it's cracker barrel, they know what they are doing!
