Cracker Barrel Old Country Store Salisbury you gotta do better than this. To start off they sat us one place then moved us, no problem we were a large group. The tables were NOT clean. Mine was covered in sugar., as if they had used it as a refill station. Two identical orders were placed for the same table. Two completely different plates came out. Both were burnt, no flavor & dry. On top of telling us they “don’t have mashed potatoes” at 3:00 in the afternoon on a Tuesday 🙄…you’re not that busy at lunch. How can you be out of food that far after lunch. (I’ve worked restaurants & that’s poor planning on the kitchen staff & management) You could have plastered a wall with those potatoes. Others in our party didn’t eat because you didn’t have what they wanted. Food was also cold when it came out. Another thing..a one year employee trying to tell a senior (20+ year) employee how to do her job & the one year employee almost cost you a couple hundred dollars in sales by not completing the table tickets so they could pay. Regardless it’s been a year since I’ve bee in this store & I won’t be back. Nothing has changed it’s only gotten worse.

This has to be the worst Cracker Barrel I have ever been to. My family and I went there for the family atmosphere after we laid a family member to rest. Although the 2 servers were fine, the food was absolutely far from it. We were told “Sorry slight bump in the road, we are out of mashed potatoes. Right in the heels of that, “another bump, sorry, we are out of Italian dressing” I ordered My favorite, the chicken and dumplings, so disappointing…. it was not only cold, but it had a “skin” over the top from sitting somewhere too long. I also ordered the baby carrots and they were cold. I assumed they would be hot like the other Cracker Barrel’s I’ve been to. I sent all the food back and didn’t eat anything. As another person in our party did as well. I would have chosen something else, but seeing the rest of the food coming out of the kitchen to the other people in our party, NO THANKS! I chose to do without. And I’m glad I did since none of their food was worth eating, let alone paying for it. Do better Salisbury NC Cracker Barrel!

I always get the country boy breakfast with the steak. It is usually awesome. However, it seems they made a change and now instead of a quality piece of steak you get "steak tips" shoot, I don't even think it's steak. Unedible is what it is. The taste/texture is awful. I hate to complain because everyone was nice and I didn't even complain to the waiter about it. I just feel corporate should know that this will definitely turn people away. If it is a change to save money now it will be a change that will cost you money later. Just saying.

We had about 20 people in our party and everything was outstanding from the time we walk through the door. I really can't agree with any of the negative reviews this location far exceeded our expectations. Food was great. Service was great. Atmosphere was great. And what I especially like it's a great quality at a affordable rate our whole family two adults three kids ate good meals for about 50 bucks

I would have given them 5 stars except the biscuits were not ready when the meal was. In fact, when we received the bill to leave the biscuits showed up. Since warm biscuits are one of their signature items they really should have enough on hand to service all of the customers.

My family and I went here for Thanksgiving. We decided to take this year off from all the food we normally make. The food was excellent, the service was very good and I always love the atmosphere at Cracker Barrel, especially in the store. But it was especially festive since everything was already decorated for Christmas and the fireplace was going. It was a little strange experiencing all that when we were celebrating Thanksgiving. I would suggest at least waiting till the day after. But we had a great experience regardless. I would definitely recommend coming here.

Cracker Barrel has been going down hill for a while now in my opinion. Seems like every time I go in there, there is some type of issue with the food. I stopped going for a long time. I remember when they first opened. It was so exciting. The food was so delicious. You could have breakfast anytime of the day you wanted to. The inside of the store was and still is such a treat to walk around and find the treasured treats of candies of long ago when times were simple and children played outside with sticks and flowers or anything else they could find. Store bought toys and game stations weren’t necessary. All that being said, my last visit was a horrible mess. The roast beef which a large portion of the first bite is rolled up into the napkin was so tough I couldn’t even chew it so I tried and piece. Same thing. The salad was however very fresh and for a side item quite large and very good. The mashed potatoes were so lumpy it was almost like eating a baked potato. My husband got the fried catfish and I think they had not changed the frying oil in a while. The portion size was small and it was greasy. He loves coleslaw but couldn’t tolerate it at all. The biscuits weren’t even cooked as you can tell by the photos. I brought it to the attention of the waitress about the roast beef, she said she would tell the manager and came back with the bill. As you can see. We paid for it. Needless to say that will be the last time.
