Cracker Barrel Old Country Store - American restaurant in Gonzales - 2313 Tanger Blvd, USA

Overall our experience was great, I got the loaded mashed potatoes, they could have been a little warmer, but they were good with my meatloaf. The meatloaf was juicy and full of flavor. My wife got the roast beef, she said with was very good and I could see it was tender, she could cut with a fork. But her macaroni and cheese needed some flavor. Out appetizer was great and the corn muffins and biscuits are always delicious. We had a great server, I just forgot her name. We always have great experiences at Cracker Barrel.

We have eaten at a lot of Cracker Barrel restaurants over the years. The food is pretty consistent, not great but always good. We like the General Store concept, with lots of things to look at. The biggest drawback is the service can be painfully slow. Expect an hour and a half. If you’re in no hurry it is very no good beyond that.

This isn't the best representation of Cracker Barrel. I asked for an iced mocha and was told the machine wasn't available. I ordered the Homestyle Chicken N' French toast. Looking at this photo, it's not pleasing. When I taste the chicken, it needed more salt and pepper. The syrup carried the meal because without it, it was really bland. French toast didn't have vanilla extract, so I can tell something was missing. Service was too slow. I would not eat at this location.

It was delightful to have a late birthday breakfast with my father today. I had the cheesecake-stuffed pancakes and my father had the pecan pancakes at Cracker Barrel. I hadn't been there in years which is why it was a treat to go there again. I also bought some reusable bags and goat milk lotion. I intend to come back to the mall to look around.

What can you say about Cracker Barrel? It is a fabulous place to eat chicken and dumplings, meatloaf ask for real butter you’ll be happy you did. This is an update nothing has changed. It’s always good we had hamburger steak and fish. I believe it was so good. We also eat breakfast here so shirt some breakfast pictures you won’t be disappointed. This place is almost always too crowded so it really Has to be good,staff are awesome.

We love Cracker Barrel! The atmosphere is fun and family friendly. Food is delicious, affordable and generously portioned. There is rarely a wait and even if there were, there are several ways you can make the most of your time. Visit on the porch in the rocking chairs play, play an oversized game of checkers, or explore the country store. The place is filled with the most interesting and unique items and decor. Each time is like the first time!

My husband and I on was a trip to Gonzales Tanger Outlet in Gonzales Louisiana where we decided to eat at Cracker Barrel and eat the food was delicious and our waitresses Kimberly was an excellent host, the service was quick, and the food was warm...make sure to stop here when you're traveling down south Louisiana it will be worth it...

Cracker Barrel is what we all know as 'consistent' with a huge variety of choices from breakfast foods to seafood and hot meal choices. I love that they allow so many options for their customers. As usual, I spent some time in their store and bought a few items to take home. Their gift selection is incredibly unique and you can always find something you want to take home.
