Great place to stop in & get a home cooked meal instead of fast food! The food was amazing but the service was ok. The shop had lots of goodies & a very helpful worker. Definitely a place to pop in and get that nostalgia feeling!
Food was good service was ok due to person being kinda rushed so had to ask for the sides when they got back to our table 1 other issue was people parking in handicap spots that didn't have a plate or hanger and even taking up 2 spots and my mom is handicapped with Ms alerted ppl inside and nothing happened
Our server was Jen and she was awesome. The service was courteous, and attentive. Her knowledge of the menu was extensive, which is always helpful when it's your first time eating somewhere. I had the country fried steak with mashed potatoes and green beans. The food was prepared properly, and came out in a timely fashion. Nothing was over cooked or under cooked and it was all properly seasoned. The atmosphere was charming and inviting. The facilities were clean and maintained. I would eat there again.
I eat here a lot. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in the area. One time I had an extremely incompetent waitress. But the manager got everything fixed for me. Highly recommend the chicken fried chicken and sawmill gravy. Staff is friendly, food is great, and prices are reasonable. It's fun to shop at the store also. If this is your type of place I would also suggest Cast Iron Kitchen and JK Whisper Cafe (Buckley, Mi) You can't go wrong at any of these places.
Dining room was cold. Waitress was friendly but out of four meals only one came to our table correct. One member of family told her he was allergic to onions. So please no onions on my food. His food was covered in onions. Food was luke warm. Chicken and dumplings had a film over it as did the gravy. Never got refills unless we asked a passing waitress. Poor service in kitchen and servers. Manager came to our table to have onion issue fix but what was wanted couldn’t be made. We still had to pay for the replacement meal. Very sad experience.
The food was good, the prices were good. The store had tons of neat things to check out and a wide variety of beverages that u don't see every day!
Took my family here for my son's birthday, it was his choice as it's his favorite restaurant. We usually go near our hometown, we were in Travese city at Great Wolf Lodge. The server was not experienced & seemed to avoid our table. She didn't care to fill our drinks, fix the check, by adding the 2 appetizers deal vs ringing separately or get the birthday dessert she claimed they didn't do comped. I had to double-check with another server that this location did indeed do the birthday dessert like our hometown location. She did not even say happy birthday to my son. Our salads came out with our meals, the salads she said only came with ranch or blue cheese- I had to find on the menu the list of other dressing options as I knew there were more than 2. The bathroom had 2 stalls with no toilet paper at all & the floors were dirty. My roast beef dinner was very fatty, a small serving & over seasoned. They were out of mashed potatoes. I rarely give bad reviews, but this was just overall a very disappointing experience. It won't stop us from going to our Cracker Barrel , but when we go back to Traverse City- we will dine somewhere else.
The food was good - but not quite up to my normal CB standard. Grilled chicken was a little on the tough side and the mashed potatoes were more of a paste. They were out of green beans. Our waitress disappeared for about a 15 minute period as we were ready to leave and needed bills and boxes. She finally showed and and apologized for her disappearance. This is our 2nd time in a row of waitress "abandonment" at this location (we're not high maintenance - in fact very easy to get along with. So I don't believe it was us).

Literally changed my life. For all 52 years of my life I have absolutely hated pork chops. My mom overcooked them and served them three or more days a week. I HATE them. The owner was our waiter and he recommended the pork chop special. He seemed pas

Edit: I was mistaken as the owner noted and updated my single 4/5 segment to 5/5. We incorrectly assumed having our boxed dessert and bill paid that our food had not been saved and we didnât want to cause a fuss in front of others or seem to be ask
