Cracker Barrel Old Country Store - American restaurant in Moss Point - 6805 MS-63, USA

It’s always been a pleasurable experience at your restaurant. Our waitress Miss Peggy went above and beyond. She done an outstanding job. The food was hot, fresh and bursting with flavor!!! Not only that, it didn’t take long for our food to arrive at our table once our order had been placed. We love to frequent Cracker Barrel and plan to return soon!

Lets start off on a good note. Sweet tea and pancakes were on point. Server was pleasant and quick on refilling the glass. Most of the food was lacking. Pancakes and grits were warm. Eggs and meats and casserole were room temperature. Never have I experienced flavorless bacon until today. I can imagine it was soaking in water before and after being cooked. Gave all the dried out meats on the grandma sampler to the ham-burglar. No basket of biscuits no butter or jelly. Wait for the receipt was far too long. Guessing most chains I should steer clear as they seem to be taking a break on food service in favor of selling knickknacks.

Only 2 waitresses on when we arrived for lunch but she handled it well. Enjoyed all the food except the catfish. Husband didn't like the breading.

Depending on the Cracker Barrel... usually that's how it goes. One this day, they were busy. Staff was attentive and pleasant. Lots of folks probably on the road for the week of Thanksgiving. Including us. All was well. We tried different items. The French toast with chicken, Breakfast bites: beignet biscuits, hashbrown loaded tots , cheese bites,   and the old timers breakfast. Had to be hungry to eat all that. Took a while for food to come out...so be patient. It was delicious.

It's a Cracker Barrel, there are many like it; it's basically the same as every other except the store has some novelty tourist items specific to the area. What stood out was the good service. I was by myself, and the waitress made sure I was doing okay without overdoing it. She was friendly and kind, and the food was cooked well.

I have never had an experience this bad in a long time!!! Our server either doesn't like her job or just plain don't care....we had to wait an abnormal amount of time for drinks,when she brought out the biscuits they were so burnt, forgot our appetizer,forgot a side,forgot the dipping sauce when we finally got the appetizer...also I don't know how but they even managed to mess up the Mac and cheese by sending it out with burnt slimy stuff in it...honestly only gave 1 star cause that was the lowest I could give. With the economy being as it is you have to do better. I am so saddened and disappointed.

Normally we have good service but visited on the 18 March @1:00 and it was a disaster from the start. The hostess appeared overwhelmed and snapped at my group and the group next to us because I guess we both got the text that said our table was ready and the hostess wasn’t prepared for us so she snapped at us both. What I noticed is our waiter was attentive but he was so busy that any problem with our order was unable to be reconciled. Our coffee cups and silverware were dirty. My particular order was also wrong. I asked for no butter on my French toast and the warm apple topping and got butter and no toppings. I also said sausage and got bacon. I didn’t get charged for the topping so I let that go. I would have ignored all this and just chosen NEVER to come back but Now I have been sick to my stomach since yesterday with most of the issues this morning.

Stopped for breakfast and a stretch. Food was great as usual but our server. Amella made it spectacular! Busy busy but she handled all of our section with finesse. A big thank you to her!!!
