Cracker Barrel Old Country Store - American restaurant in Whitestown - 6398 Crane Dr, USA

Presentation of the food was good but my meal was luke warm. Sent it back once but the food came back the same. Disappointed. My guest’s dinner was perfect tho! The server checked up on us 2x but was at the end of their shift and apologized for not checking back us sooner then handed us the bill. Wanted a really good hot meal. 😞

The food was barely warm. Cracker Barrel isn't wat it used to be! The food used to be top-notch. I have eaten at different Cracker Barrels in the past 3 years, hoping to see a change, but I have been disappointed each time. I have no plans to go back. I'm not sure why it has changed so much since the pandemic. I will say the service was much better, and seemingly, there was plenty of help in the middle of the week. I have heard many other people say it's not what it used to be.

Chicken and dumplings was delicious and my husband’s chicken tenders very good also. Our server Haylee was very nice. Love the country decor.

We went during COVID a couple of times and it was pretty terrible, sadly :-( Decided to try again today and WOW! What a difference! Very clean, food was fantastic (blueberry pancakes & bacon), coffee amazing and service was impeccable. Can't wait to go back!

Julianne was an excellent server. She was very polite and very attentive to what was going on. I would definitely recommend her!

We had a nice meal. We were seated quickly for a Saturday night. They were out of the meal we wanted, which was our reason for selecting Cracker Barrel. Our meals came out quickly. The mashed potatoes were warm, not hot, but the food was good. Our server met our needs but was forgetful and could be seen being on her phone often. We didn't get her name. She didn't introduce herself and we didn't see it on her person. The store was festive preparing for the holidays.

Today's dining experience was not what I have come to expect from Cracker Barrel. We arrived at 12:23. We expected to wait, given the time. We were seated at about 1:02. It took awhile for the wait staff to arrive and take or order, which we received about 30 minutes later. We had the chicken and dumplings. One order was the main entree and the other was a side. It was cold and the chicken was almost non existent. The mashed potatoes and gravy were also cold. I know the restaurant industry is still trying to recover from COVID-19 and look forward to a better experience during our next visit. The best part was having lunch with my wife! We also enjoyed the gift shop and found a deal to give us an early start on our Christmas shopping. I should also mention that the staff and other patrons were nice and friendly.

Everything was back to the best we've learned to expect with Cracker Barrel. Seating was quick and ideal. Service prompt and courteous. Food was excellent. We asked if new management, and discovered that is the case. The past few times we've been disappointed with all elements. This time, perfect again!!
