Cowboy Jack's - American restaurant in New Brighton - 2397 Palmer Dr, USA

Walked in and was seated in the way back by the pool table. Never asked for drinks never came back. After about 15-20 mins I went to the front to ask why no one has waited on us. As I’m looking the girl that seated us is in a booth rolling silverware. 7 pm on a Wednesday, place was not packed. Got our food before drinks. Food was mediocre at best. Chips as side were the bottom of the bag. Coleslaw tasted old. Brisket sandwich was dry. We are done eating and are still waiting to get our bill. Believe the reviews about horrible customer service. It may be different if you are a regular drinker at the bar..

Food: The menu has some confusing parts to it. Service: Seating ourselves is not a good model for a restaurant. Service will never come, and you are stuck waiting forever for a server to even come by. (It was a Monday. Felt bad for the bartender and waitress they were the only ones working.) Atmosphere: The atmosphere is like any place with a bar and games in the back. Glasses spill a lot in this establishment. Be prepared to get wet.

The calamari was over fried to the point of just being hard pieces of breading but it wasn't the worst thing I've ever had I'm sure they had an off day it happens! The service was a bit slow so I'm sure things were just going poorly for them that night. The pork belly was good I loved the Sriracha bourbon sauce if you go try it on anything you won't be disappointed! The cheese curds were good and my friend liked her sandwhich but my other friends chipw were stale with her queso. Overall I'm just calling it a bad night for them and hoping they all made the best of it!

We both had a pulled pork sandwich and it was very tasty!! The sweet potato fry were also good. Now for service SUCKED!! We waited 15 minutes before I got a server to the table and I had to ask 2 times. She wasn’t apologetic and couldn’t give two bits that we waited. Never came back and I had to chase down another server to get a second lemonade - never saw a second water!

I only had 2 beers while here. Our server, Kennedy, was amazing. Unfortunately, they were understaffed for the crowd, but that's to be expected these days. I'll be back to check out the food. Good place to hang out. Great if you've got a large group.

Stopped in for lunch with some coworkers on a Friday. Not many people there. Atmosphere was nice and heavily themed. It has that old western vibe with 30 televisions scattered throughout. Everyone liked their meals. I had a burnt ends sandwich with onion rings, which was prepared well and very tasty. They had a soup bar but we noticed only 2 people in the restaurant try it. I would go back but didn't like it enough to go out of my way to return. Drinks were good and the service was friendly. A good place to go with friends for a few beers.

Very slow service. The medium rare ribeye was well done and they cooked a new one. The second one mooed but I prefer a steak blue to brown throughout. The appetizer came with the meal. The food was cold. The statues outside the restaurant were pleasant and it was nice to eat on the patio. The menu was a QR code. For a $50 dinner, water, no alcohol, I would not go back.

I liked the fact that the music was not too loud and overbearing. I know that it was supposed to have a Western theme, but I didn't really see that carry over into the dining area or bar. I sat in a booth, and the material on the seats was coming apart and looked really old. I'm sure it was unsanitary! The server was really nice and she was very attentive. I got a hamburger and a baked potato. The hamburger was great, but the baked potato was pretty horrible. It was kind of raw, and crunchy. So I ended up not eating it. I got a Shirley Temple to drink and it was sweet and refreshing. I would probably return to this restaurant but I would never get the baked potato again. Lol.
