Empty restaurant at Covewood on a Friday and it took 30 minutes to get drinks. Another 40 to get food, which was terrible. Went through 3 servers throughout the evening, the first two we we only saw once. Bill had a 20% "Delivery Charge" on it that management said was a bug in the system and it randomly puts that on. Really? If that's the case why wouldn't you check every check going out rather than having to have guests find it and if they didn't they were uncharged 20% on their bill. ||||Bars closed early an Saturday night because bartender didnt want to work any more. This on top of staff saying closing was 11:00pm when the website says they are open till 12:00AM||||Beautiful property with horrible service.

Covewood Lodge is situated on Big Moose Lake and is about 20 min drive from Old Forge town. The cabins are clean, neat and are catered with all necessary utensils for a comfortable stay. They also offer boats for rent, ski trips, ski lessons and different children activities during the day. We had an amazing stay and will definitely be back

My family has been visiting Covewood Lodge on Big Moose Lake since the early 1970's. The owners obviously love the place, and that translates into a wonderful experience! It doesn't hurt that the scenery is beyond beautiful, the location is convenient to other mountain attractions, there is family fun for children and adults, and the accomodations provide clean, well equipped lodging. Over the years, we have stayed at Bayside, Boat House, Outlet, Forest, Hill, Earl Covey, Raccoon, the apartments and the rooms in the Lodge - each offering their own charms.

Enjoy viewing Lake Erie ships, nature,Eagles, Storms, Milky Way. New and renovated luxury awaits your arrival. Excellent meeting location and convenient to Dunkirk restaurant fine dining. For a weekend or week you will enjoy ❤️

This is my 38th year coming to Covewood. I grew up coming and am now fortunate enough to enjoy it with my own children. I love how we all unplug and enjoy all the lake and property has to offer. The cottages, docks, beach, and lodge offer beautiful, views of the lake. There are enough water activities to suit anyone's desires, great places to swim and play, and seeing friends year after year and sharing this magical place is the highlight of my year. It is also close to great places for hiking, golfing, and a few great restaurants which make for lots of choices for enjoyment each day. I loved being a kid here, and watching my boys fall in love with it is pure joy.

We had another amazing annual family trip to Covewood. Their new wifi options in the cabins make working remotely possible when you have to. Wifi access aside, the focus continues to be about disconnecting and spending time with family.

We just returned from our third wonderful stay at Covewood, and are already thinking of our next visit! The lodge is located on beautiful Big Moose Lake, with charming cabins nestled in the woods. There are many lovely spots to read or enjoy the view, and there is lots of fun to be had on the lake! We hydrobiked, paddle boarded, kayaked, and swam- all equipment is available to rent in the lodge. Our cottage (Mary Alden) was very clean and comfortable, and was recently renovated. The staff is friendly and happy to help. Covewood is a wonderful place to go and unplug, and slow time down for a bit. Looking forward to our next trip!
