Covered Wagon Motel - Motel in Lusk - 730 S Main, USA

The gentleman at the desk was so friendly and helpful when we checked in. The property is well-kept and the room was older but kept in good repair and clean. We didn't use the pool, hot tub, or sauna but they were available. Breakfast was good, they have an excellent variety of foods. A nice feature, and the reason we chose this hotel, is their playground. It's small but nice and great for kids before getting back on the road. I would say there was only one downside to our stay which was the number of outlets near the beds. There was only one behind the night stand and one plug was used by the clock.

We traveled to Lusk to visit family for new years. We chose this hotel specifically because it has an indoor pool and we wanted to have a place for some family to gather and the kids to play. We had 2 rooms being used by us and other family members yet the afternoon the kids wanted to swim we were asked to leave because "only registered guests are allowed to use the pool". I was shocked! There were a total of 4 rooms being used in the entire motel (2 by us) and we couldn't let the kids swim. The owners of this motel need to make some major changes, not only with the overall upkeep of the rooms, but also with some basic courtesies that other motels extend. The room: the heat was off when we arrived and the room was probably 50 degrees inside. Arriving late and wanting to go to bed is a problem when it takes 30 minutes for the room to warm up. The room was very dusty and overall old and run down. The bathroom was disappointing and on the verge of gross.

It's fantastic it's like Jack of all trades. U get breakfast with varieties.You get clean rooms with decent patent u get huge pool which is neat and clean all the time also u get park with benches and chairs there to relax and also with play ground for your children's to play.u get free parking for your car and they also have electric charging station. The couple who is the owner of this motel are nice and kind and responsive. Also the motel is very spick and span they take care alott for that.

I'm not sure how people rated this as a 5 star motel. Some say they stayed in a renovated room. Those must be in the main building where the office, breakfast, etc are. We stayed in a room that was in the strip of rooms off parking lot. As you can see, it was NOT renovated. If people think that a 5 star rated place should have tubs & sinks that look like this, then their expectations are extremely low. Not to mention sheets so thin you can see the matress tag through them. Housekeeping is fair. If you don't mind sticky syrup on a table in your room, dust an inch thick on fixtures, and used soap bar in your shower when you first check in, then this place is for you!

Beds are super comfy, they have a playground for kids, they have free breakfast, it's all one floor and entry to rooms are outside so you don't have to carry all your stuff up floors or through long hallways, very clean! Was easy to get a last minute room in very early morning, affordable. If you have a electric car they have a charge station.

Positive: Location. Negative: Sink was clogged. Light over the bed did not work. Carpet old. Place needs renovating. Even a coat of paint would freshen the room.

I stayed here for 4 days early October, I found the room clean and comfortable. The check in staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast started very early for the hunting season and was filling||Thank you

What a wonderful little motel! The owners/staff were very pleasant. The room was bigger than we expected. It has been well kept up, and was very clean. We were surprised to return and find our room had been cleaned and our towels replaced, we have not stayed anywhere with maid service since the beginning of Covid. I would 100% recommend this motel, if we ever have a need to stay in Lusk again, we will be staying here.
