OVER DRAMATIC. EGOCENTRIC. MALL COPS Covered 6 is one of the most useless security companies out there. I live in a high end city and we've had them for 3+ years now. crime rate is UP but they patrol and HARASS the neighborhood citizens. They have bothered me in my own driveway, sitting in my own car, but don't do anything about the homeless setting fires in the alleys, do nothing about the robberies. Half the time their staff just goes around the city gawking over women and abusing their power on local citizens instead of protecting them. Screw covered 6 and all of their security teams, their staff, and all of their personel.

The training gets 5 stars, Chris, Curt, Kevin, and Steve were all awesome. These guys have mastered security, law enforcement, and Executive Protection, and share every bit of information they can and they are all incredibly humble about it. The majority of Covered6 is veterans which made the experience better. You learn a lot in just 5 weeks and come out with every cert you need to do security. The admin and vocational reps get 0 stars. I was told the guard card would take 2 weeks to get and it ended up taking 4 months because they messed up the paperwork, I called numerous times and it resulted in me having to contact Kevin to get on the admin to handle it. I was told the pistol permit would take 2 months and it ended up taking 6 months. They also lied about all the possible jobs they have after the academy and don't take where you live into consideration. They offered me jobs an hour and a half away or armed security jobs knowing I didn't have my pistol permit at the time. The academy uses 7 months of the GI Bill and costs about 13k. If you're not planning on using your GI Bill the training is worth it. If not only a few people benefited from the academy, the jobs they offered don't pay anymore than you can make working for other security companies. Many guys from my class got screwed and they didn't receive help getting security jobs after they graduated. If you don't stay in LA after the acadmey they don't help you find work. Best advice is attend the academy and get the training, certs, and references but don't rely on them to help you find work.

Covered Six will hire military and civilians alike. They always showed me proper professionalism and support. Being on a pension, allowed me the luxury of committing to part-time work. Be reliable so the company will value your workmanship.

Been involved with Covered 6 since 2015. They were a game changer for me. Was struggling to make ends meet with a sub-par, minimum wage security job after I got out of the military. They were able to place me in a job the eventually helped me afford a house for my family. Now they offer some of the most comprehensive security training available. All of the instructors and knowledgeable and highly experienced. Most are still active in security, so they only teach what works, not what a text book tells you. If you take your training more seriously, or want true security professionals l, then this is where to go.

Covered 6 has some of the best hands on training I've seen. The staff is very involved and committed to supplying the very best training to their students. The facility is incredible and provides a perfect space to house the realistic training scenarios that they run. They make it their mission to get you as prepared as possible for anything you might experience in your line of work after graduating.

Only reason I'm giving it 4 stars, is that unless you know people in your industry, the likelihood of getting a position as an EP, is slim to none outside of LA, SF, or CA in general. Other than that it is an excellent organization, amazing professionals; especially Mr.Ramsey, hands down best instructor. To the owner: great place, great company, and really a phenomenal job; only criticism I have is you need to listen to your students, both times myself and others approached you in conversation you didn't listen at all and spoke over us. Other than that, the training here is by far the best I've ever had and worth every penny.

I went through tactical and medical training with covered six and they are top shelf! The staff are very professional and extremely knowledgeable, with tons of experience behind them. No egos here, just great training. The facilities are all new and “Main Street” gave us a lot of variety in tactical training scenarios. Our team will definitely be back!

Covered 6 Training Academy Hello I’m a 10 years Army Military Police Soldier. Once I got out I had no idea what I wanted to do in life that would make me happy. After doing extensive research and actually taking a tour of training facilities I ended up with Covered 6 training Academy as my top choice. They are the Standard in regards to the security field. Instructors are knowledgeable and want to give you the best they got. Equipment is state of the art something I didn’t see in other locations. Covered 6 offered me the skills needed to get a job as an Executive Protection and Estate Security Agent field. Since my graduation last year I’ve been working successfully as an Executive Protection Agent/ Estate Security Agent. Some might pin point the issues and complain all day about they didn’t do this for me or that or didn’t find me a job. I could say the same but one thing to remember is that we are all adults and we also have to do our research and know that in life no one is going to spoon feed you a good paying job or roll a red carpet to your goal you have to put your efforts too. They did a good job at resourcing and finding companies that they work with to hire our Vets and also their accounts they have they try to accommodate the best. Some might argue issues with the guard card not being expedited lmao please do your research it takes time. Smh.
