How can you not give a candy store 5 stars. Well I guess if they were out of candy. This location has a good mix of items for that sweet tooth craving you get when traveling. The selection of items has some southwest inspired chocolates with jalapeño and cactus in them. All the other options were standard tourist candy store affairs of taffy and chocolates.
Nice neighbor lady brought me back some fudge from her trip and it was so soft and moist. Lol I ate most of it on the way home, next day I had a bit more & still so soft and moist. Never had fudge that stayed that way. Definitely recommend! So delicious 😋 Photos is all that’s left. It was a good size piece before I started.
If I could share a picture I would. THE WORST salt water taffy I have ever eaten. There was a horrible taste like it was rotten. I purchased the bag with red blue green ties around it. The taffy would not even come off the wax paper. 😒 I will never advise anyone to purchase salt water taffy from you all.
Looking for candy? Look no further. This candy shop has a larger variety of candy to choose from. You can mix and match sugar or sugar-free candy. Unfortunately the location does not provide free samples to try the chocolates. The store is open late night.
So sweet place they have hand made candy The store is popular, so you may have to wait in line sometimes.I really like this one because not only do they have candy from all over the world but, they have fudge. Yum!
A little costly for some things but over all a good experience. Saturday evening was a very busy time but the employees kept the line moving and were friendly. The house carmels were very good along with a random assortment of made in house chocolates I picked up.
This gives old time feels inside, very historical place and highly recommend visiting when in Old Town, San Diego.
I always come here when I bring my friends and family for the Old Time experience. You can only find some of the candies they carry here. Even adults need a little sugar fix now and then. I strongly suggest this store for different candies and fudges.
