I prefer to stay at one of the corporate hotels when I visit the shore as most motels are worn around the edges and smell of salt air. This Courtyard was nice because it is located right near the Garden State Parkway near the shore towers of Asbury Park and Ocean Grove.||The staff could not have been nicer to me and checking in was easy. I had a wonderful room that was quite large and had a great bed to just relax in. It started to rain so it was perfect to just relax for the afternoon. I slept so soundly that night.||There is no breakfast included in the stay but there are plenty of options around the hotel and along the parkway. It is a great option if you want to travel to the shore.

I wish I could leave 0 stars. This is without a doubt, one of the worst hotels I have ever been to. Dirty, lazy staff, overpriced, & outdated just to start things out. Let me explain in detail. For starters upon entering the room, it had a terribly musky, moldy smell to it. Ground level room not that, that matters or at least it shouldn’t but just for context. Once you’re in the room, we noticed that almost every surface was dirty. The lack of basic cleaning was almost comical and had we not been tight on time and exhausted for the wedding we would’ve requested another room, but I’ve had to wait several hours which I had already done that day. The remote was nowhere to be found for the tv and the power button on the TV was broken, and once i found the remote, it was found on the dirty ground next to the nightstand that separates a room with twin beds. I will say the AC unit worked in the sense that the room was cool, but I have this gut feeling that the filter has not been changed in a LONG time as myself and everyone else who stayed in the room woke up with the worst dry throats you could imagine. The bathroom was horrible!! A combination of it being outdated and lack of proper cleaning. I’m not a germaphobe by any means but holy crap this was bad. You could noticeably see the previous guests hair, dirty floors, and sticky counters. I stated above lazy staff, and that is referring to the cleaning staff. I don’t know if you’re outsourcing or if the people you have are just smoking out back but something is obviously wrong with your cleaning staff. Now I had attempted to check in three times. The staff at the counter was nice all three times but there must’ve been a miscommunication or lack of understanding somewhere. I did request an early check in initially. I was told that it “maybe” could be done. I do understand what the word maybe means. Upon arriving, I was told none of the rooms would be ready yet, however if I came back at 12:30 “our room would be ready”. That was great news to hear until I came back at about 1:15ish figuring I would give them even a little bit more time to have the room ready and it was still not ready. I’d prefer to be told that my request could not be accommodated rather than being told a time when it would be ready. Even if I had to pay extra for an early check in that would have been fine, but no. So myself along with everybody else that I had to share the room with had to get dressed for the wedding in the dirty lobby bathroom and when I say dirty, I mean dirty. The lobby must have a terrible air conditioner unit or no air conditioning at all because the combination of the heat in the bathroom and the heat in the lobby was disgusting. All of us were sweating through our dress clothes. So finally well after 4pm we were able to check into the hotel. Just in time to catch the shuttle. The hotel bar is significantly overpriced to be noted. The hallway both at night and the morning we left smelled of weed. For the price the we paid for this hotel I’m absolutely disgusted with this stay and I will never be coming back.

Attending a wedding in Point Pleasant on 5/26/2024 and needed 1 night accommodation. Entire process was a breeze from initially making reservation to check-out. Staff was very professional, friendly, and accommodating. Since our room was ready 2 hours ahead of check-in and long before the wedding, my sisters and I were in the elevator discussing where to grab something light to eat. "Javier" (hotel employee) in the elevator gave us some recommendations; even came running out to the parking lot with menus! Hotel lobby was very clean; as was our guestroom (2 queens) and bathroom. Beds and pillows were beautiful, fresh, and restful. The feather and down pillows were so comfortable, I ordered 2 online even before checking out! There is a Starbucks in the hotel lobby with very limited hours and selections. We opted for breakfast off-site after we checked-out.|Very nice hotel. Thank you Marriott!

Disappointing to say the least. For $331/night, I expected more. This location needs a total renovation, except for the beds, the mattresses are comfortable. Carpeting, wallpaper, drapes...ambiance is something a few nice prints on the walls can't hide. We asked for a handicap room upon checking in. Got an extra bar next to the toilet, but same bathtub to step into. Three bottles in the shower: body wash, shampoo and one unreadable. I thought it was moisturizer; it was conditioner, so my legs and elbows got conditioned. Bring your own moisturizer, water, socks...I would not walk on the carpet barefoot. Scratchy towels. Since it was within a block of rooms for a wedding, our rate was $229/night plus tax. But for a total of $525 for two nights, I'd rather go to a Hampton Inn or other Hilton property.

Not good. We were greeted at the front desk by a rather rough around the edges character in a black t-shirt. Our arrival interrupted his cell phone conversation and his attitude made it clear we were bothering him during his work hours. We asked for our reservation; king bed, top floor - and were told that the only room left was on the first floor. He asked "Do you want it or not?" I got the hint that smiling and a pleasant mood was for "other people", not our Marriott greeter. Also this character either: didn't know that my reservation could be switched out to my partners (changing who got the points and all) or didn't WANT to do it. He told us with a sour face "that can't be done". We stayed for two nights, I did come down later that first night to ask for a different room and the front guard had changed. A very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly younger man was prompt in his assisting me. Although it seems as if T-shirts were the regular company uniform, that didn't bother me because I was greeted like a guest and helped. No name or badge to give him the recognition. He also expertly swapped out the reservation as I had asked before. I KNEW that someone there did have computer skills and he was great. No reason to come back as we live out of state. Just another disappointed guest passing by.

This hotel and its manager were the absolute worst. I have been a gold Marriott member for years and have NEVER experienced a Marriott Courtyard like this one! It was pricey and run down to say the least. I was told by the staff that TVS in all rooms were not working properly and they were aware of the problem and working on it. Could not watch my favorite channels because they did not link up with the guide and were not available. Staff had the audacity to tell me the only thing they could suggest is that I watch TV in the public lobby which worked! Hallway carpets were dirty and stained terribly, wallpaper discolored and coming off the wall in bathroom, rugs in room not vaccumed, white towels worn and not a bright white, minimal water pressure which was cool in temperature, minimal amenities in the room, pillows offered NO SUPPORT, and heat was not working properly — had to sleep in a heavy sweater. The manager did NOTHING to try and turn the ship around and make my stay somewhat enjoyable. I ended up sleeping in the uncomfortable room chair and going to bed early since I could not watch my favorite TV channels. I called Marriott Bonvoy and complained for the greater good so hopefully they will do something. STAY AWAY! There are so many great hotels out there that make it their mission to give their customers a great experience and take care of them. Not this place! I will think long and hard the next time I stay at a Marriott Courtyard, or any Marriott property.

I will not be coming here or any Marriott bonvoy hotel with the way they have handled my situation. I had someone take my number from my reservation and contact me. After I asked this person more than once who is this and they didn’t tell me I called the number but the number came back as if it was fake. So I’m assuming this person created a fake number so that they don’t get in trouble. They finally stated that they were the guy from the hotel which would have to be the guy that checked me out because I didn’t interact with anyone at the hotel besides him when checking out. I reported the incident and the way that they handled it is completely disappointing and unacceptable. I reported it on 3/3 and it should not have taken two weeks for them to finally start asking me more questions as in what’s the phone number, what time did this happen, what was the nature of the messages, etc. There should be no reason on why I had to be the one to repeatedly call them to see what was the progress on my case. In any business where u are dealing with the wellbeing of other people and they have a situation like mine you would want to update them when you have updates. Even when there is no update you still reach out to them to show that you are still looking into the matter. It felt as if no one wanted to take accountability for what happened and that they didn’t care that my privacy was violated in a place where I thought my protected information would be safe. The only time they have reached out to me is emailing me that they have received my case and it will take up 5 days, they have received my screenshots and it will take up to 5 days, and then their decision stating that the number was not associated with any of their employees. I replied stating that I understand on why it would not be associated with their employees because the phone number is not real but I don’t understand that in the messages the person stated it was the guy from the hotel. And I still have not gotten a reply and that was a week ago. I have been more than patient and given them time to look into it and thought maybe a matter like this they need time but I’m done. It’s really unprofessional as a business that you do not communicate especially with a matter like this. This whole situation has been terrifying and unacceptable. I thought that I was doing too much but everybody that I have talked to agree that this was handled incorrectly and that I should go public with this. And so I will be going public with this. Who knows if this person has done it to someone else and I honestly hope it doesn’t happen to someone else. (Even though I’m still 100% sure the phone number is fake I still want protect the private information in case it’s not)

I've never been so disgusted. There was a long black female hair with bodily fluid stain in my bed. The front desk wasn't phrased by it at all. All I got was sorry about that. Never staying here again.

Really clean and fun place for adults and kids. My boys played the VR headset games and tried some games that we don't have on the oculus at home. My daughter and I did the racing simulation and it was amazing. We also played console games there.
