Courtyard Waco - Hotel in Waco - 101 Washington Ave, USA

Sharing this review on behalf of my sister- hotel was nice, great location! Kudos to front desk employee Tomas who made checkin as fast and comfortable as possible. He genuinely has a great attitude and welcomed us like he owned the hotel. Good customer service is hard to find these days. Cleaning staff was also very nice. Overall, would definitely stay here again.

Clean. Courteous staff. A little dated but no complaints. They have a decent breakfast buffet (with crispy bacon!) They have a pool but we did not swim. The location is great because there is shopping almost across the street. It is also dog friendly, which is why we chose to stay here. We would certainly return.

The room was wonderful. Had a little bit of a hiccup at the beginning when trying to check in, but the young man that was at the front desk on May 25 around 4 was wonderful. (Sorry didn't catch his name) A lot of people were trying to check in, and a lot was going on, but he didn't lose his composure not once. Excellent service. Best check in experience I've had in a while. The room was nice and cold and clean. And the location was great. Was pleased with everything except that breakfast was not included and cost $15 for not a lot of breakfast items. But Staff was wonderful all the way around. There was an incident that happened right before we left that I would like to speak with a manager or someone about if they can reach out to me. Thanks, Sarah

Stopped for one night on our way from Texas to Minnesota. Staff are helpful and polite. Rooms very clean and appear to be newly painted. Restaurants in walking distance, but the courtyard fare is always acceptable. Best of all, no pet fee. A change for Marriott. It is very quiet too.

We stayed here a couple of week’s ago on the way to Austin to visit our daughter. Location is good in downtown Waco. Room was clean and comfortable . What exceeded expectations is the front desk staff- so kind and helpful. I asked for non-Magnolia restaurant options and they recommended Ninfa’s (Mexican food) and George’s (breakfast diner) went to both, one for dinner and the other for breakfast. Both excellent and reasonably priced. Excellent customer service at this hotel. Highly recommend.

We came up here on Tuesday after losing all power in Houston at our home. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming to my children, myself and my two dogs. The hotel was clean and well kept. The pool was the perfect little dip of refreshness after a long drive. Thomas at the front was beyond amazing. Incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and wanted to make sure everyone had a great experience. I watched him quickly get guest checked while maintaining a happy appearance which is a great feat in customer service. If you find yourself looking for a hotel in waco I highly recommend this one.

The Assistant Manager, Thomas, was the most professional, kind, and helpful hotel front desk personality that I have ever experienced in any hotel, anywhere. He was always polite and helpful, even with dozens of loud teen-agers (mostly mine) and demanding guests, he never lost his composure, was never rude or abrupt, and went out of his way to make sure every guest had what they needed.

The hotel is run down. And it was next to the city park which had fun concerts for Eclipse weekend. However, the blaring music went late into each night of our stay. The staff was friendly while we were there BUT I left an item in our room. When I got home and called to have it returned to me their process is VERY expensive, staff was unyielding in helping me get my item back for a reasonable price and when I asked to speak to the manager she was not interested in helping me, said it was my own fault for leaving it in the room and hung up on me. Never again will I stay here or recommend this hotel to anyone. We are loyal Marriott customers and just paid an ENORMOUS premium to stay here during the eclipse - like over $950/night for 4 nights for two rooms. You would think they could be helpful in returning a small personal item. Nope.
