Courtyard Reading Wyomissing - Featured Reviews (683)
The room was very nice, clean and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. The showers old and needs an upgrade. The staff was very nice in general. The pool room had no towels and when I asked for some got a bit of a tough luck attitude from the front desk clerk. The food and drink prices were high but the food in the bistro was very good. The location is a little weird, next to an old converted outlet turned into apartments but there was no problems with that. I would stay again. One star off primarily for the dingy old shower.
We used this location as our hotel block for our wedding. The suite was a good size for getting ready, we were able to get a good price for our guests, and the service from housekeeping, the bar, and the bistro were fantastic in particular. We only had two specific issues. The first was some difficulty in booking the rooms in the first place. It was difficult to get into contact with someone and to get the number of rooms we needed due to an event in Berks County at the same time. Thankfully our venue had this hotel as their preferred partner, so that partnership was honored and we were able to get rooms. The other issue we had was the shower. No matter how we adjusted things or how many towels we used, the shower ended up getting water all over the bathroom floor. Overall our stay was fantastic, the accomodations were great, and we had a good time here for our wedding weekend.
Came here with my fiancé and it was my first in a hotel and I do gotta say it was amazing , pool stays open till 11 and gym is open 24/7 . Staff was super sweet and the bartender that was filling in for someone else was super nice and started conversations with me even when I was alone at the bar . There is a mc Donald’s near by and a Wawas also , it is about a 3-4 minute walk . They also have a ramen place near. 10/10 will come back
Hotel was just ok. I made a special call on Friday because we were traveling with a service dog. Asked for a room close to stairs. Some how rooms in our party got mixed up and I ended up on opposite end of hotel from stairwell. HVAC system was absolutely awful. Unit was blocked by desk and thermostat on opposite side of closet. It was either too warm or too cold. Terrible to control. |My son and family went to breakfast on Sunday. He said the eggs were strange. Looked awful and smelled worse. 3 breakfast which was pretty much nothing, one person got bagel and yogurt. $68. |On the plus clean and comfortable bed. |There are a lot of hotels to choose from in this area and we won’t be choosing this one again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here Aug. 8-10.|Our room #326 was spotless and well equipped.|We very much appreciated the front desk associate accommodating our early check|in.|The bartender Thursday night (sorry, forgot his name) was friendly and made great drinks.|We will definitely stay here again when we're in the area.
Very friendly service, was lucky enough to run into the cleaning staff twice on trips to the ice machine, she was so welcoming and kind. The bed was very comfortable and not too plush. Pillows so plush and linens/towels fresh and clean scent. The shower pressure was to-die-for and roomy in size. My hair was so voluminous afterwards. Luggage rack in the closet and easy to find light switches.
Overpriced. No breakfast but you can pay $8 for a cup of coffee you can get at Wawa across the street for $2.50. The mini fridge had obviously had problems by the water damage to the cabinet it sat in and I had to shut it off because it was so noisy it was keeping me awake. Based on the obvious cheapness of the place I made it a point to ask that they clean my room on my way out in the am. When I returned, it had not been cleaned and I had to get new towels and empty the trash myself. We consumers have to teach businesses like this a lesson or it just gets worse. Take your money elsewhere.
I’ve stayed at Courtyards over 200 times and I have always been greeted when I walk into the hotel, but that didn’t happen at this Courtyard. We were totally ignored by 3 different ladies at the desk when we entered. The bistro was advertised to be open at 5 o’clock, but was told they didn’t have a chef so it isn’t going to be open. The HOT tub was COLD and unusable. |To the general manager who always says how sorry she is for poor service, I would appreciate a partial refund and not an apology, thank you.|I am usually a positive person, but was so dissatisfied the I feel compelled to let you know our disappointment.
