Courtyard Orlando Lake Mary/North - Hotel in Lake Mary - 135 International Pkwy, USA

I cannot say enough about the night employee Chris. He was AMAZING in getting us a late night last-second reservation, ensuring that our room met our needs, giving us options for different rooms based on needs, and checking in to make sure we were comfortable during our stay. The hotel itself is great, but the experience was truly outstanding because of Chris. We are so very thankful to him for an outstanding stay, and hope that he gets recognized for his outstanding service.

This is an older building that looks like it was renovated a long time ago. The room smelled like wet carpet. All of the fixtures looked old and somewhat run down. Front desk service was great. If you’re doing a quick stop, this place is fine. But if you’re looking for a nicer and more comfortable hotel, I’d recommend somewhere else.

Caden is the man. He exemplified the highest level of professionalism and hospitality. The guy loves his job so much he got me wanting to work for his boss. They need to make him the damn owner. The hotel is wonderful. I'll definitely be booking again soon.

We've stayed here a few times over the years and sadly, we've been watching it decline over that time. We won't consider going back after how bad this last experience was. ||||The problem here is a complete lack of professional management, and it shows. ||||For our entire stay, there was NO ONE at the front desk. It didn't matter the time of day or night, the desk was continually unmanned. There sometimes were two front desk agents on duty, but they'd always be hiding in the back office, playing on their phones. At one point we waited for 5 minutes before one of them bothered to come tot he desk. They weren't in uniforms, just street clothes. ||||The hotel is...old... but that's no excuse. The Courtyard on International Drive is even older, but immaculate. My own home is more than double the age of this property, still with original bathrooms, and doesn't look anywhere near this bad. ||||The shower was...disgusting. Take a look at the photos. This is more than just a single housekeeper having a bad day or bad week. That's months, if not longer, of buildup and mold. We wore our flip-flops in the shower.||||The bed and sheets were clean and comfortable, and the carpet in the room was clean. I'll give them that. ||||Marriott Bonvoy benefits ARE NOT honored at this property. BEWARE. We requested late check-out and the hotel refused. Marriott's own legal contract says "This benefit is guaranteed" for Platinum and above members. Here's the kicker: The hotel was less than 50% occupied for the following night. I looked it up on a travel agent account. ||||There are other Marriott properties nearby which offer a much better experience. We've stayed at the Marriott, Residence Inn, and Westin at the next highway exit north and have had great stays there. Sometimes they're even less expensive than this Courtyard. Even if this Courtyard is less expensive, do yourself a favor and give it a pass. Spend the extra $ for a proper hotel, not this place.

It seems the hotel actually did read past reviews and have been making renovations. The room is great and the ladies at the front desk are very pleasant. Still here but so far I am very happy with this hotel. Don't let the other reviews fool you, this is a very nice place :)

Lake Mary is close to Orlando and conveniently right off of the I-4 expressway. Kyra at the front desk was very helpful when I stopped in today. Very kind and attentive to my needs. There is also a Starbucks inside which is pretty great in my opinion. Will definitely come back.

Service was subpar. The front desk line was always long. Power outlets in both rooms didn’t work, they were out of pillows, and the building did not seem secure. The proximity to restaurants and grocery stores was good, but that’s not enough for me to consider staying here again.

Stay at your own risk. ||||During our recent stay, one of the parties we travelled with encountered a positive case or bed bugs. The next evening as we were getting ready for bed, we saw a bug run across the bed. Upon lifting the bed and checking we found more bugs. I immediately went downstairs to let the staff know and ask for a room change. The team member I encountered was not at all sympathetic to the situation. She told me that there was nothing that she could do because the hotel was fully booked. I asked that we come to some sort of resolution (finding another room or transferring me to a alternate hotel location) and she again said that there was nothing she could do, that this was Florida and Florida has bugs. The 2 other staff members on duty that night worked tirelessly to find a solution and were able to "find" a room within the hotel. ||||In addition to this staff member being less than helpful in finding us a room, she also told me that while I should make sure to wash all of my clothes before moving them to the new room, she could not offer quarters or laundry detergent. Given that it was after 11 pm, I asked her if she could provide change (the machine only took quarters and a change machine was not available) for the laundry machines to which she responded she could not. ||||The next morning when the manager arrived, I shared my experience. She was apologetic and immediately called the exterminator. Since it was a Sunday, it took them over 3 hours to arrive. At that point, I had to leave to catch a flight home. The manager reassured me that she would call with an outcome of the inspection, which she did. While she told me that they did not find bed bugs in the room she did not know what the bugs we found were. She told me that I would receive a report for the exterminating company, which I have yet to receive. ||||After returning home, I contacted Marriott who directed me to the hotel general manager for a resolution. It took the general manager 4 days to return my phone calls and emails. While she did refund my stay, she still has yet to provide me with the exterminators report, something she said she would send to me via email. I explained to her that my luggage and all of its contents were never inspected by the exterminator because I had to leave for my flight home and that I still have not been able to bring them in my home because I did not want to chance carry any sort of pest into my home. She seemed to understand and explained that they are a new management team trying to work out all of the issues that have inherited in the hotel.
