Courtyard Newark Silicon Valley - Featured Reviews (900)
The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The hotel lobby area has been updated and is inviting. The room we had is older and needed remodeling. The air conditioning in the first room we were assigned was not working and, in fact, the unit was duct taped together. We requested another room which we were quickly given. The bathroom fixtures are old and the area around the sink is small - almost too small for a bag of toiletries. However, the room and bathroom were clean. Cleaning and towels were provided every other day.
Cleanliness and quality of the rooms could be improved. There were several stains on the curtains and chair. The bedsheets kept coming off during my sleep which was gross and annoying. Staff was nice. No continental breakfast. The pool was freezing (probably not heated) and the hot tub was like warm. Only three pillows on the beds.
This is not a Courtyard Marriott I would ever stay at again for numerous reasons.
The first being I have never felt more hot stuffy common areas to include lobby, hallways, elevators and honestly everywhere but the rooms. Room AC is also crap. It was extremely hot the day of my stay and it was quite literally just as hot inside. What are you doing?? I should note this is one of the nicer lobbies I've seen at a CM, but you can't even enjoy it because you're literally sweating.
No charger ports at all in the rooms. Ripped curtains. Outdated dingy bathroom. Automatic lights that blind you when you get up at night to go to the restroom. Honestly, the worst stay I've had in a long time and I travel A LOT. I didn't even go out to the pool area after seeing the stained dingy looking pool and water. Odd location that feels like an industrial area.
Advice to owner quit being so insanely cheap and live up to the Marriott standard. You're not even close.
Bunch of dishonest staff. Well trained to lie and rude. Do not book through Expedia or any other third party websites as these folks don’t honor that. Booked a twin room with mini freeze, microwave other amenities as I had kids with me .checked in at 11 PM and they gave basic twin beds room with no amenities. when i questioned it, the rude staff said take it or leave it at that point of time. managers are not reachable, they have aristocratic working hours . Baaaaaaad place. shame on what they are doing to the brand. will never book again
The rooms weren’t too bad, and the location was close to some places, but they didn’t clean the rooms at all for the 7 day stay that we had. We asked the front desk multiple times to clean it and told the housekeepers as well. Terrible really.
I paid Marriott fees but received motel 6 front desk customer service. I had to wait 15 minutes standing in the lobby before anyone can help me check in (no one was at the front desk). The next day, the lady at the front desk was on her earphones and was on her phone talking all day. No microwave in the room, no breakfast and no laundry, the fridge in the room is very small with no freezer (my ice cream melted which was a bummer). You have to go to the residence inn to do your laundry which the elevator felt like it was old and almost broken. Gym equipments broken. No coffee at the front desk, starbucks in the lobby wasnt even open. People at the pool were very loud past 12 midnight ( I was on the 4th floor, I still heard the partying and was not able to sleep until they were done and I had to work the next day). I also heard the freeway loud and clear.. smh.. will not go back..There are better hotels out there. I am familiar with hotels and customer services because I travel every week for work and sleep in different hotels all the time, there are way better places with better amenities
I'm considering eating the early departure fee. If you're an Ambassador - there are better options to take advantage of your status.
Staff is nice, which is echoed in other reviews. Location is decent. However the facility is tired. The plumbing of the nearby rooms can be heard from mine. HVAC setups are insanely old.
As far as status recognition - my recent stay at the CY Palo Alto got me a free drink from the bar, free bottle of wine upon check in, and $10 food credit for each day of the stay. Tonight at this property I did not even get a card for my lone $10 credit (for 8 nights). I was offered to grab a complimentary snack.... which was limited as the offerings were about empty. I opted to not waste their money and my time.
I will say this was not the staff members fault as he was insanely nice, but did not have much to work with. I won't be back, if I even stay the length of my reservation.
The nice gentlemen Juan at the front desk went above and beyond when I had a co.plaint about my ac not working good , he literally gave me the shirt off his back,by allowing me to use a portable fan that he was using in the lobby ,allowed me to take it to my room for the night so I would be comfortable, dude is awesome sauce at its finest the service alone here is worth the stay ,the young lady was very pleasant as well, thanks again ,good service is hard to find ,but not here at courtyard by marriot

Iâve been coming here for over a year and every day is a different workout which makes exercising fun! Nimesh and his team of trainers are very friendly and also help keep the gym squeaky clean.
Perfect place for a run in the beautiful landscape. You can just sit and relax and do some bird watching if it's the season.
If it's evening time then enjoy the beautiful sunset. I have not noticed restrooms so I guess it's not there . I have not see
I love Mingala since it opened in Warm Spring. The new location seems brighter & spacious. We dropped by on Saturday around 8pm and was seated immediately. The service was friendly & very fast (we got our order in less than 10 minutes).

One of the most flavorful Cajun shrimp in a bag. And having the option of head on shrimp deserves another star! The juicy fresh shrimp order came in double bagged. Their garlic bread were soft in the middle, crunchy crust and tasty, obvious garlic ch
Ooh you better come here early! This place gets packed because the food here is. If you're into authentic Filipino food and a lively vibe, this is the spot.

This is one of our favorite places to eat with 2 small kids. The staff is always very welcoming and accommodating. For some reason their burgers are really good. I get the basic bacon and eggs. Never disappointed.
Dog friendly ð Perfect dinner outdoor seating even had a pup menu items and water they serve in disposable dishes. The food was great. I expected typical Denny's type food since it was pet friendly. Pleased to say it was not and well worth it and
It's been three or more years since we've eaten here but I must say, the Pho broth is delicious and perfectly seasoned, not salty at all. I spoke to the owner and she said their broth is made everyday. Their portion is deceivingly less but after ou
