Courtyard New Orleans Warehouse Arts District - Hotel in New Orleans - 300 Julia St, USA

The hotel is under renovation (which we DID NOT know in advance). The normal amenities such as having a bar were not available at all. The staff was friendly and professional. This particular hotel is located very close to the New Orleans Convention Center and not far from many other restaurants and bars. We stayed in room 434. The A/C was noisy and the cleanliness of the room was acceptable. There was nothing fancy about this particular Courtyard by Marriott facility.

If you are looking for a basic clean room near downtown/French Quarter, this place will do. If the idea of lounging by the pool or taking a dip in the hot tub are on the mind, look elsewhere. I booked this hotel after filtering results in the area to those with pools and spas. After checking in, I headed down to the pool area to find that the spa/hot tub was closed and blocked off with cones and yellow tape. The pool was nearly as disappointing. The deck around the pool dirty, there were no lounge chairs (only a few busted up upright chairs and side tables). The entire pool area is a depressing sight. There was also supposed to breakfast according to the listing, but I didn’t see any food items out when I came down at 8:45am. I can only recommend this place if you are only looking for a clean bed and room and you don’t mind popcorn ceilings, utilitarian bathroom design, and lack of anything interesting.

This is a 4 star ⭐️ hotel so let’s start there. 1. The restaurant advertised isn’t open. 2. You have to walk 4 blocks to get some morning coffee. 3. I had to call maintenance to get the shower 🚿 to work. 4. The pool is green. 5. The hot tub is broken 6. The front desk lady was awesome. 7. Very clean room.

This is my first visit to New Orleans. It has always been a place that I wanted to visit||and cross off of my Bucket List. During my visit I stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott||Hotel at 300 Julia Street. I had 5 days to squeeze in as much of the food, music, and||charm of New Orleans while also attending The American Legion National Convention. Checking in to the Hotel is when I met Mya Johnson, an employee of||the Hotel. I started chatting with her and shared with her my New Orleans mission.||From the moment of that conversation, I felt like I had a partner in my New Orleans||adventure. I would look forward to meeting with her and inform her what New||Orleans experience, whether food or sights, I would like to accomplish for the day. ||SHE NEVER FAILED! She would give me who, what, when, where, and why to satisfy||the activity. I probably will never visit New Orleans again. The hotel is really well located. Close to the French quarter. Also, the hotel is clean and all the common places looks pretty good. However there are few things that I think should be pointed at: - The valet parking feels just like to charge you for parking. The parking lot is 20 meters away just next to the lobby. However, the valet parking guys were really nice. - There is no housekeeping on the day after the first night. Meaning that your room will be dirty until the third day of your staying; for a Marriott-kind hotel, I think it’s a low standard. - bring your own water. There is no any in your rooms. You will have coffee capsules but not water no make it. - The rooms are not acoustically isolated. Particularly, I came for a Time off with my mom and 2 out of the three nights we couldn’t sleep due to the heavy noise on one room close to ours. We feel really disappointed.

Scenery is nice but I don’t like the rooms. Refrigerator was extremely tiny like those makeup coolers and turned off every two hours so the things that I could fit spoiled. Also had to change rooms because the shower didn’t work in one room.

Double check the pricing, they snuck a $50 charge per room in at check in. They advertise breakfast but there is no food whatsoever here. Fridge in the room is too small to even use. Fire alarm went off at 3 in the morning. This place isn't worth the price. Looks fancy when you walk in but it's just a mirage. Oh, and it's $40 to park.

You can imagine the frustration I had when I booked the wrong hotel. Meant to book the other Marriott two streets down. The same name the only difference is one is courtyard and the other isn’t. This is not the location I wanted, the other is way nicer. The building looks old and dingy. It smells like mildew. The room ceiling has water marks, everything is outdated and it just needs to be remodeled. My kids were disgusted and my husband was mad. Now I’m left to deal with a crappy start to our family trip. Thanks.
