I have stayed at this hotel four times and really enjoy it. The location is great. Walking distance from Venice Beach and close enough to the airport to be considered on a layover. The restaurant has good food and the marina setting is quite nice. It is a new hotel, so rooms are still in good shape. I had a great view with a balcony using an upgrade once, and that added some ambiance. Finally, the gym is not bad. That said, I am noticing that the price has increased quite a bit to now be as much or more than the near by Marriott and (crazy as it seems) only $50 per night different than the Ritz Carlton. I really can't imagine. If the price is down between $200-$300 per night, that is a good deal but otherwise shop around.
AVOID THIS LOCATION!! This location has only gotten worse! From the front desk person keying our room key wrong 3x to the restaurant and Bar Staff ignoring us at our table, only to move to the bar and have not one person acknowledge us - what's the point of complimentary drinks if you get ignored? Good customer service starts at the top, I would have to say the the Manager Mr. Murphy must not be very customer service friendly, if he was, then so would be his staff. I would tell anyone that asks, avoid this location - as it has terrible customer service, spend your money elsewhere, perhaps a Hilton property.
My family and I absolutely love this place! The rumors are very clean and modern and extremely comfortable. We stayed on the second floor with a little patio outside our room. While I’m normally not keen on patios outside the room where people can walk right by, only about five or six rooms could access this area and beyond the patio gave us direct access to the pool and Gym. Normally, I pay a little attention to the river resort fees, and think of it as a necessity in areas that are fairly pretty. This time I actually paid attention to the amenities you get for the resort free and we definitely utilized it. We did two people biking for free for two hours. We also utilize the $20 resort Food and beverage credit. There were free welcome drinks, but it was well drinks and the well alcohol was horrible - we barely drank any. The one thing that annoyed me is the fact that the place is valet only. I really hate having to wait or someone to get my car when I know exactly where it was parked and to cost me extra money every time I go in and out of the hotel. That is the one thing that bothered me about the hotel but it looks like there is indeed street parking as an option fairly close.
Not recommended. If you value good service and cleanliness. I am a Marriott Titanium Elite member and recently stayed at this Courtyard. Upon returning to the hotel one evening, I discovered my room door was deadlocked due to a technical issue. Despite this, the front desk provided no proactive solutions and required constant prompting from me. I spent half an hour sitting outside my room, and it was only after I called that they suggested I switch rooms. I explained I had an early flight the next morning and needed to pack my belongings, but they still couldn’t provide a resolution. While the security personnel were trying their best to help, the front desk staff lacked professionalism and service orientation.(7/15 00:25 am i finally got into the room after 1 hr and with the help from the security team, while the whole process the girl from front desk didn’t express any willingness or kindness or apology to help a desperate customer.) Additionally, during my one-week stay, the trash on my bathroom sink was never cleaned, and I found false eyelashes on the floor that were not mine. If you value good service and cleanliness, I would not recommend this hotel.
José Chautla was designated to assist with valet on our visit and he was amazing! Super helpful and attentive! The hotel itself was beautiful and a perfect place to host meetings. Thank you for providing a wonderful atmosphere as well as exceptional customer service!
Property itself is nice and seems relatively new. Has a great fitness center. Rooms are good with reasonable AC and good water pressure. Half the rooms overlook the parking so you can hear cars all night long if you are on that side of the hotel. Only valet parking is offered and it’s $50 per night. Of course, that doesn’t include the valet tips. (Pro tip - we parked across the street in the neighborhood, was only a 3 minute walk and didn’t have any parking limitations like hours. Saved us a ton!) Mandatory destination fee which includes bike rental (which weren’t available while we were there) and two drinks and a breakfast credit which you have to ask for upon checkout. So basically, the fee forces you to buy breakfast there which I object to (don’t nickel and dime your customers and perhaps they will spend even more money and return.) Overall, service here was snooty and I can’t see a reason to return when there are any other properties nearby
Not fancy but very comfortable. I've been to LA many times but never stayed in Marina Del Rey. Loved it. The hotel is right by the water and there is a water bus that docks right there. Just a few blocks from the beach and not far from Venice shopping.
Don’t stay in this hotel!!! We arrived here and we were essentially forced to pay for valet parking as the only free parking option was on the street which I didn’t feel comfortable leaving my car in. The rooms were nice but the big issue was that we were charged $100 for the deposit in which we were told we would get it within a couple business days and never got anything back. We contacted the hotel and let them know the issue and they told us that we had to contact our bank and that they already issued the refund. We have been in a back and forward battle with the Marriott in regards to our deposit for almost 2 months now. In addition we were charge with a bunch of different other taxes and fees. This place is a complete joke and their customer service is too. I will advise people to think twice before booking here and to consider other option. If you do decide to stay in this hotel make sure that on the receipt it says something about them taking money for the deposit because if not it’ll be a long process to get it back.

Couldn't ask for more. Staff was amazingly friendly, and when I left an important belonging behind, they were able to help me get it back efficiently and safely. We've all heard stories of hotels "losing" items. It would be so easy for them to say "n

You can purchase an all day parking pass (good for 24 hours) or hourly. Probably gets much busier during weekends (beach valley ball?, boating) but weekday visit presented a moment for a peaceful stop by the water. There are a couple spots to eat if

Wonderful brunch with a view of Marina Del Rey harbor! Highly recommend the pork belly sando because the pretzel croissant bun was unique, fresh and delicious.
Great Bar! Great for Irish holidays to visit. A small minority of people are protesting against the turtle race, but it's awesome and they have no imagination! :). They just yell and shout the loudest but don't protest the real issues of the world. I

I think in every instance when wanting to eat and looking at reviews you have to weigh out why a person can leave a 5 here and leave a 5 at an actual elegant restaurant and they be held in the same regard. I was in need of a bite of food with no fril
