Courtyard Los Angeles LAX/Hawthorne - Hotel in Hawthorne - 4427 W El Segundo Blvd, USA

We stayed here as a family of 5 for 2 nights.||Positives:|Nice clean lobby area and bar|Lovely heated pool and hot tub|Quite close to the airport ||Negatives:|Do not book this hotel if you need to use the sofa bed. The mattress is absolutely dreadful and you can feel every single spring. I went to reception to ask if they could help with this and they did manage to source a mattress topper, but this took several hours and it was only a small single bed size. They indicated that this was a common complaint. |There was a coffee machine but we were only provided with 2 disposable cups for a 3-day stay. I also ran some hot water through the coffee machine and it came out brown with lumps in it, with the most horrendous smell. |There is very limited option for breakfast and it is expensive.|Parking is also $18 per night, which I thought was very expensive. ||For the price, it was definitely not worth it. During our trip to America we stayed in some lovely places for less than half of the price of this and had breakfast included (and had beds that were actually useable)

The location was close to where we needed to be but it didn't always feel the safest, especially at night. No security or anything like that. The room we saw in the pictures when booking was not the room we got when we checked in. We did get a nice room with a large bathroom. The breakfasts were not very good in comparison to others. The pool was amazing, the kids loved it. We did get a 1hr late check out time which was nice.

At first instance everything seemed fine. We were able to pay full in cash upon check in. The rooms are nice and comfortable. However the service is severely lacking! 1 - we paid full in cash and upon checkout 9 days later we were told it’s not in the system, however the clerk contacted management and then told us we only owe $0.02 (WEIRD) 2 - on check in we opted for our room to be serviced daily, however this didn’t happen and when we complained we were told service is every other day. 3 - while our bed was made and towels renewed, they never checked the bath soap so we never got a new bottle until we asked. Why do I have to tell you the bath soap is done especially when we stayed for 9 days. That should be something they check! We also had trash in the trash bin that wasn’t removed until we put it outside of the room. 4 - one of the days they came to service the room and we were getting ready to leave. The lady asked if we wanted the room serviced and I said yes she said it had to be “now” so I told her we were leaving in a few minutes. Sure enough we left about 15 minutes later and when we got back to the hotel at night the room was not serviced. So we had to request clean towels and trash pick up once again! 5 - another friend found mc Donald’s containers from the previous guests in the room they stayed in. There’s a couple of coffee cups and two glasses in each room. The coffee cups were not replaced until requested. The same dirty glasses were left in the room instead of new ones being placed! Overall - a nice hotel in terms of comfort and location. However the service is not what you would expect for a 4star establishment!

Saving grace and highlight were the thoroughly kind and helpful Receptionists. Location easy to drive around and food places right in front of hotel. Lights and furnishing worked well. Standard courtyard design throughout hotel. ||however, the shower gel was empty on arrival. Water from shower keeps flooding the toilet - perhaps install some curtains or a sliding door? Changed room next day and room smelled weird. Drinking glass had visible stains and thumbprints. My room had dodgy food residues around fridge area. No ironing board, no robes. ||It’s a decent place that could do with additional housekeeping staff.

No customer service, zero professionalism. I booked a room with double beds, was giving a king size bed room. I was actually giving an occupied room. I walked in on a person and he was extremely shocked and scared. When I walked downstairs to inform the front desk personal, they didn’t even apologize or offer any compensation for the inconvenience. I don’t recommend at all. The worse customer service. I’ve never giving anyone a one star review. This is my first one start review.

I have stayed here over 20 times. The rooms are always very clean, staff is all friendly. They try and accommodate the floor i would like to stay on as much as possible. The front desk is very friendly i had an issue with the front desk one time and the manager was so nice and gave me a full refund and let me stay for free. This will always be my go to

Family and I traveled from Florida and we were there for 9 days! The staff is very friendly and welcoming! Room was very clean and anytime I needed any w64- towels, blankets or pillows they were quick to accommodate! The pool area was very resort like and we had a great stay!

We stay at this location whenever we stay in Southern California. It's up the street from my dad. Next door to the library, and right across from plenty of food and the grocery store. We love the pool, hot tub, fire pits, lobby, and basketball court. The only lack is that they do not put enough towels and rags in the bathroom for our large family size. We book a room that sleeps six and we typically don't have enough towels and rags for all six of us and have to always ask for more once we check in. So my only suggestion to the hotel would be if the room sleeps six please make sure that you have towels and rags available for six and the guest zone constantly have to call housekeeping.
