Courtyard Los Angeles Hacienda Heights/Orange County - Hotel in Hacienda Heights - 1905 S Azusa Ave, USA

Got in my room and the sink had been cleaned as there was still soapy water in it but there was clearly something nasty in the sink still remaining ours later when I checked in. This is not in a high demand area and the parking lot must have had a hundred spaces. So when checking in and they said are parking in the building I was confused. There is no underground parking or parking structure just a large shared parking lot. So I said I was parked outside. She said okay that $15 per night. I totally get the need for parking in high demand area but if you have been to this location it simply feels like an ugly money grab for no reason. When checking in with my son she stated you have one king bed. I said a king with sofa bed is what I paid for, she looked at me annoyed and went looking for the room I paid for, pretty confident based on her reaction she intentionally put me in the worst location possible. There are better locations than this one if staying in the area.

I stay in this hotel many times before. But this is the first time after COVID that I have stayed. One thing that I felt it should improve as the bottled water should be free and not get charge $6.00 per bottle. I can't understand that you cut back on the little bottles of shampoo body wash to be more environmental conscious. But bottled water are a necessity for travelers. I hope they'll change the policy of not providing bottle waters upon arrival.

Positive: Location Negative: My room was clean but old & not maintained. the mattress & the pillows are old and too soft thus uncomfortable. The aC system is decades old. I did not expect much from an Inn but this is below average. Furthermore the staff played a dumb reply: Negative: ""

I booked thru a third party which included breakfast and parking. When I checked in the hotel denied breakfast even after I showed them the website that showed breakfast was included. After I checked out I was charged $10/day for parking even though the amenities on the website included parking. The iced water container in the lobby didn’t have any cups half of the time I visited. Very disappointed.

First of all, the staff is pleasant and professional, the environment is clean, inviting and very inducing for quiet business meeting. The coffee shop is run by good staff and service was fast. The rooms are clean, bathroom is very well kept and no dirty spots and beds are well made and. The sounds barrier is decent but not complete sound-proof, however, I have never experienced any loud guests while I stayed there.

We needed a place to stay near home (Long Beach) while they tented our house for termites. This turned out to be a real gem. Beautiful, well-maintained, had a nice view of the valley from the hillside it sits on. Easy to take a walk through the nearby neighborhood. Warning: It it quite a workout as you have to walk up a long hill to get to it. The coffee shop/bistro was modest but convenient and a continental-style breakfast was good. It also was the least expensive in the whole LA area that I found in terms of using my Marriott points. Wish they hadn't charged for parking though ($10/night?).

Overall rooms I would say met slightly under perfection for cleanliness. They are a tad small and feel cramped but almost every room comes with a pull out. The service of staff was , ok I felt at times the gentleman at the front was never happy to see anyone. Location is very central and overall everything is within walking distance.
