Very nice room & walking distance to wonderful restaurants. The front desk person, Bronte, was lovely! She's very knowledgeable about the town & gave us a delicious recommendation for dinner. We're passing through, and truly impressed with our stay.
Very nice hotel! The rooms here are spotlessly maintained, making it an ideal choice for travelers for whom cleanliness is paramount. Every corner of the room was immaculate, from the sparkling bathroom to the fresh linens. It’s clear that the hotel staff takes great pride in their work, ensuring that every guest feels comfortable and well-cared for. The staff were not only friendly but also very attentive, ready to assist with any requests and provide local recommendations. For those looking for a budget-friendly hotel in Keene without compromising on cleanliness and friendly service, this place is a fantastic choice.
We had a king size bed in a room on the top (5th) floor and everything was clean and in good condition. The TV could slide out and rotate so you could watch from the bed or from the couch. The bathroom had a regular tub/shower. |We asked for a new set of towels, which were delivered, but then there were no housekeeping services done, and the bed wasn't made. Unsure if we had to request that or not.|Parking was easy and free and the hotel really is downtown, close to shops and restaurants.
The people at the lobby were nice, well located in the center of Keene, very good breakfast, the bar had a good variety of drinks. Nice pool table. There's not much shopping around. The only detail was the room key, I had to try 3 different keys, and the locks did not work in two of the rooms.
SUPER NOISY!! Stayed on the second floor and it sounded like a herd of elephants was trampling the floor above us all night long. Loud motorcycles and trucks passed outside the windows. The air conditioner and white noise app could not overcome the noise. Parking is inconvenient and crowded. Tiny bathroom. Convenient to Main St but not worth it.
We were at the hotel for four nights. There really wasn't anything good about our experience. Walking into this hotel is like walking into a funeral. No one greets you, no one smiles or says hello. When we checked in the person at the desk behaved as if we were inconveniencing her. She was not friendly at all. The room was just ok-very dark, and the bathroom was awful. There was no counter space and no water pressure in the sink. We were told at check in that housekeeping is only offered every 3 days, so on a 4 night stay, they only clean the room on the last day, which doesn't even make sense. That said, the only friendly people at the hotel are the housekeeping staff. What really turned me off about this whole experience was our final night there. It was a Saturday night. We had been gone all day/evening for a wedding. We are always very quiet and respectful when staying in a hotel. We were up late, but not super late and we were definitely not being loud. At 2:30 AM we were woken up by someone knocking at our door. It was the front desk agent coming to ask us to stop walking around so much because the people in the room below us had complained that we were consistiently walking. First of all, we weren't walking we were sleeping, but second, on what planet are you asked not to walk in your hotel room, like how do you get to the bathroom?? I filled out the post stay survey and expressed how disappointing the stay was. I was then contacted by the VERY condescending manager of the hotel who basically said we don't care and complained that he was stuck dealing with this issue at 10pm - I didn't ask him to reach out to me at 10pm, that's on him. I decided to put a review on Google, and the first review that I saw was from the same weekend. The person said it was very noisy and the people in the room above her were very loud and sounded like a heard of elephants. Ok, valid complaint, except, in her review it states she was on the 2nd floor. I was on the 5th floor, so clearly it wasn't me that was making the noise by walking from the bed to the bathroom an hour prior. I reached back out to the manager to point this out to him and he has refused to respond.I gave every opportunity to him to apologize and he refused. Bottom line, don't waste your money at this hotel. It is poorly managed, they aren't happy to have guests there, and if you complain they don't handle the issue, they treat you like crap.
My girlfriend and I have been best friends for 30 years. We decided to celebrate and get a room in keene. We had dinner and watched a show at the Colonial Theater. This Hotel was great! Clean and very helpful! Great location!!! We came home from a fun, long night and we were greeted by the very kind receptionist. His name was Andrew. He was wonderful!!! Very helpful!! We will definitely be back!! Thank you Andrew! ~ Much love from your Kit Kat friends🤙AKA Karen and Naomi
We arrived at the hotel at 2:55. Check in is at 4:00. After standing at the front desk for a few minutes, the desk clerk approached and said, “Do you want something.” Not hello, or can I help you. We said we wanted to check in and she replied that check in was 4:00 and the rooms weren’t ready. We would have to come back later. We have been at other hotels before check in and they will check you in and the. Let you know when the room was ready. We left, walked around and came back 29 minutes later. People were checking in. New desk clerk. We reported the earlier rudeness and never heard anything about it.This is not what you would expect from a hotel that charges $500.00 for a Saturday night stay.
We had an amazing entertainment program by Jason Purdy for our son's 7th Birthday. It's one of the best experiences at kids' celebrations. Looking at happy, amazed and shining faces was a real pleasure. Our don that our son asks ro vook the show for
