We stayed at this hotel for our family reunion this weekend and the Marriott needs to do better! It’s nice on the outside but looks are deceiving. We didn’t realize that there would be no room service if you didn’t stay for at least 3 nights. So because we only stayed 2 nights, no one came to empty our garbage or pick up our wet, dirty towels. When i called the front desk, the young lady told me I could bring my garbage downstairs to throw away! I thought that’s what I paid for! Then because of the garbage, there were ants EVERYWHERE! I will never stay here again. It’s disgusting to stay in one room for a couple of days and have to live with wet, dirty towels and trash. I pay for room service and I want it! On top of all of this, they don’t offer complementary breakfast!
If you stay less than 3 nights, make sure you ask for housekeeping services! We left Saturday morning to attend a family reunion picnic and when we returned the room had not been cleaned, the trash had not been emptied and there were no clean towels! When I called the front desk I was told if you are staying less than 3 nights then you must request housekeeping. What????? (maybe share that bit of info BEFORE checking in) Front desk told me to bring the trash down and she would empty it and I had to go downstairs to get the clean towels myself! They told my cousin to sit the trash outside of the door! My grandson was bitten by ants that formed on the trash that was left in the room. All of that and no complimentary breakfast? Coffee? The place is outdated but that didn't both us as much as the rest of it. The best quality this hotel has is it's location. It's by everything!
This property is an older hotel that needs remodeling. The room has a strange decor and a mildew smell. The front desk staff would benefit from some hospitality training. The bristro staff are very polite. I am a titanium elite member and was never asked at check-in if I wanted points and food vouchers. Would recommend staying elsewhere.
This was a business trip with two other coworkers. The air didn’t work in my first room. The second room was okay just SMELLY and killed a spider. I guess it’s their pipes/drains because every room we had the whole time all smelled up the whole room. One coworker had ants everywhere in her room (see pics) and killed two roachs. She also fell and face planted in the parking lot on the piece of metal sticking up(see pics). When we told the front desk they don’t say ANYTHING or seem to care. My other coworker had hairs in his bed and asked for new sheets. They said it was too late and just moved his room. The second room he had had a leaky/molded window(see pics). His third room was okay, just smelly. The wood was falling off the bathroom vanity’s, in all the rooms(see pics)The service desk people were not helpful or seem to care. One lady tried to make up reasons for all the things “those are sugar ants, this is Louisiana “ and “we are under new management “. Maybe close the hotel and fix all the things THEN open it to customers, this is NOT acceptable. The bar was never open, for an orange juice and a breakfast sandwich was $16. Only men can work out here, the LOWEST hand held weights were 30 pounds.
I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.
I am so disappointed!!!!
I chose to stay here because we just lost our son, and we wanted a nicer place to be while we are here handling the details that come with losing someone. I expected more from this hotel because it is a “Marriott hotel”. This is place is run down and worn out! The furniture in our room is falling apart. The tiles in the bathroom are falling off the wall.
I can tell that it doesn’t get cleaned well. Just a spruce up job is what it gets.
Then, the breakfast isn’t even included! We have to pay extra even for the coffee!!! What in the world am I paying so much for!?!?
Pros: Good location.. was close to my work place, and lots of food options. It's about a 40-50 min drive from the MSY airport.
Good service.. Front desk folks are pleasant and friendly. One of the ladies promptly got someone to fix the TV after I reported that it wasn't working.
Spacious and quiet room.
Cons: -No breakfast.. The hotel does have a kitchen and Starbucks with limited options. Gotta pay for it separately though.
- Some room outlets did not work.
- The rooms have a mini fridge, but no microwave.
- Weird bathroom layout..The shower area has a partial glass separation, so the water splashes out into the vanity area. High risk of slipping. I had to use two towels to dry the floor a bit.
- Odd TV placement.. the TV is right above the desk, so you can't exactly watch TV while using this desk.
I love the location, but there is no free breakfast or coffee. At 170 a night, you think they could do better..I may try hilton 20 miles down in another town..also the shower glass door is water stained they never clean or squeegee it..also the bathroom vanity leg close to shower is peeling apart because of over spray from the glass shower bot fully enclosed. Their snack section in lobby runs out extremely fast too.
Nice hotel room, and some of the most helpful staff you'll ever find. John, Sandra, and Ley were wonderful to deal with!||We had a comfortable bed, and a good shower with great water pressure, which is something often lacking in hotels these days.
As a Hilton Member I was extremely impressed with all facets of the hotel. The Checkin process was superb. Either Jean or Victoria was on the desk and very efficient and dedicated. Superb representation of the company. The room was the cleanest we ha
My stay at this hotel was terrific. I reserved 3 rooms and did not have any issues. The property was really clean and had good options for rooms. I loved that were 2 king beds in the rooms, it gave us a lot of space and comfort. I will definitely sta
What a great place to grab some food!!! The staff was so friendly. They let us try samples before we bought our food. We're from Arizona and never had Louisiana food. This place is delicious. Definitely stop in, if your in the area.
Didn't spend time inside the main bar area. I attended a Queer North shore Meetup event and we hung out across the street. I believe that is where the food area is. I was there on a Wednesday evening and the kitchen isn't open Monday through Wednesda

I was told about this store from a fellow crafter that told me I had to go check them out. I love this store! It is a stone, mineral, rock lovers dream. There is so much to pick from. I feel I could spend an entire day looking at all the selection
Calm, quiet, leisurely shopping visit. The young woman on staff offered me a free coffee with cream and sugar ð¥°. News to me, they sell coffee beans and grind them up for you. The coffee was good btw lol. Clean shop. Whimsical feel. Garden acces
