Courtyard Fort Lauderdale SW/Miramar - Hotel in Miramar - 14500 SW 29th St, USA

Stayed here for a couple nights and really enjoyed my stay while here. The entire staff was really friendly and helpful. The room felt clean and fresh and somewhat updated. The beds were very firm mattresses, which provided a nice restful sleep. The surrounding area is very quiet, we did not hear any noise outside from people or traffic. The exterior of the property looked very beautiful and calm and serene. I felt safe walking the neighborhood outside day or night with no issues. Will definitely stay here again, thanks for the wonderful service.

The hotel was in a good location for our reason for being there. The room was nice, although the carpet needs to be shampooed. I looked at my 3 yr old daughter's feet, and it looked as if she had walked outside. The housekeeping staff did not replenish the toilet paper, and they had to give us a new pillow upon arrival. This was a first experience of this kind for us, so I will stick with the brand. We actually checked in at the Turnpike location for the remainder of our trip. The front desk staff was nice and professional.

Good place. We stayed here before getting on our cruise in Ft. Lauderdale. This was out of the busy areas and still close enough to make it an easy drive to the port. It was a nice place and even had a nice balcony to sit on. The gym was amazing. ||If you want a quiet place that is still close to everything then stay here.

Everything was fine until nighttime where my whole family could not sleep because of itchiness and when we woke up, we saw HUNDREDS of bugs right next to us and they were everywhere in the hotel. We told the staff about this and they offered to spray bug spray which we said no to due to health conditions and when we came back later the day, they let us know that they sprayed the bug spray which we told them NOT TO. The room was also super dirty. And I would not recommend this to anyone.

It all started when I tried to make my reservations. They were $200 more than Expedia when I asked them why because I made wards member and I stay here a lot they told me it just was the way it was so I went to Expedia had a mistake with my reservation so when I tried to correct the mistake they refused to. I figured I was gonna be stuck with a king room and I needed a two queen bed room, my son’s in the hospital at Miramar The manager refused to do it so I thought I was stuck when I got there the gentleman at the desk and Mohammed got everything taken care of for me. When I got up in the morning my coffee pot didn’t work. I called down to the desk they had to wait for maintenance to get to fix it explain to them the hot water was shooting out the top, I got trying to unplug the plug so it didn’t drip down the back of the microwave didn’t seem to care. I asked him can they please just have the cleaning lady bring me another coffee pot I was told no that’s not the way things work around here when somebody gets here they will get it taken care of , I asked to speak to a manager I was told there was no manager on the property by 9:30. I don’t know what kind of place is. I’ve been staying here a long time. It was a nice hotel but has gone way downhill. I was curious why the place wasn’t full like it usually is when I come in that’s because people have figured this place out. Avoid this place like the plague until they get something done

The room was clean, my view was nice, and the hotel staff was very nice as well. I only had two issues which was that there was what looked like a blood stain at the corner of the bed and the shower curtains were dirty. The manager came up with new sheets for me. The pool heater was out so I couldn't get in but thats okay. There is a mini refrigerator, microwave, and also a mini tea maker in the room which I thought was cute. I would definitely stay here again.

The good - nice hotel located in a good area within driving distances of shopping, restaurants (twin peaks had great food) and parks. |Room was very comfortable, microwave, mini fridge, sitting area with 2 queen beds and a balcony|Pool was relaxing and felt seclude. Ample parking and seemed to be a very safe area. |We were able to checkin early(much appreciated)after getting off a cruise.||The bad - there wasn’t a day that went by that someone was smoking pot, cigars and cigarettes on the balconies. The hotel staff was very lax in addressing the issues. Even suggested we move rooms instead.|We did ask to speak to management but was told no one is available (we stayed 6 days) and find it strange a facility would not have a manager on staff the whole time.|Overall we really liked the hotel and the area, hopefully they will enforce the policies in the future.
