Courtyard Danville - Hotel in Danville - 2136 Riverside Dr, USA

The thing that I love about Marriott hotels (and Courtyard is a part of the Marriott chain) is their well trained, courteous, efficient staff. In my opinion, that is what sets them apart from some of the better hotel chains. So that is true of this Courtyard, as well. They do a great job!! I slept great. Very comfortable, well appointed room. My TV and bathroom were a bit out of date, but everything worked well. You should give them a try. You'll enjoy yourself.

The hotel looks spectacular from the street at night. Well lit! The staff was friendly and professional. The hotel is due an upgrade. It does not meet the Courtyard standard. There was mold in my bathroom. The cleaning staff should have told management. The fact that mansgement was not told reveals the lack of training on management's end. I found the mold upon a second night's stay in a different room.

This Marriott was not up to the standards of other Marriotts. The toilet was extremely low (sitting) and there were no grab bars to help get up from this seat. Then, in the shower, there were no grab bars where they were needed. There was one grab bar that was located in the tub where the water faucets are located. So, when I went to shower, once in the shower I had to stay under the constant water flow or back up and not have anything to hold to support me. ||If I were you, I would get an evaluation immediately. Checked in on friday night. I ordered four orders for 4 people out of the 4 only one order was correct which was my order the avacado BLT. I tried to resolve the issue when the food came out. The kitchen offered to make my husbands order but… she didn’t. My kids cannot eat fries which is why we ordered fruit. I was told they were out of fruit after receiving my order and coming to complain about it not being right. I ended up having to leave the hotel and go get my family food. We also tried to pay for our food with cash. The meal was $62 and some change and we tried to pay using a $100 bill and were told it had to be placed on the room. Fast forward to Sunday. I went to check out to get the managers information because I am not paying for incomplete orders I left my contact information and I have no idea what made the Kitchen staff Tish contact me after I had left the hotel but she calls my phone telling me what I am going to pay for and what I am responsible for. My contact information was left for the manager. Not for her to contact me being rude. I told her I had to go and get my family meals from a restaurant that night she tells me you took the food. I told her I offered to bring the food back but they were in such a hurry to leave on friday night the lights were off before 10:00pm. She gave me orders that I did not ask for. She proceeds to tell me I can come down and get my fruit. It is Sunday, I ordered my food on Friday and I have left Danville. I have escalated this matter to Marriott Bonvoy customer Sevice. I will attempt to speak the manager but I can only imagine the service I will receive based on the staff. The housekeeping fellow was extremely nice. He needs to be upfront. Because somewhere along the way the rest of the staff has lost their minds

I left a lengthy review on their site. Not many choices in Danville. The staff could care less, they are rarely where you can see them. They have no maintenance on the weekends. Try sitting on a half hanging toilet seat. This trip was unbelievably loud and obnoxious with a “group of workers going back to Mexico the next day” All 6-8 in one 2 queen room, next to mine.is that even OK? Music blaring, yelling. The desk could not get them to subside into the night. Lauren moved us. She was one of the two descent employees we encountered. Rooms aren’t restocked ( what little there is) or vaccumed, dirty glasses not removed. Dont believe the pictures they show for food. I can tell you a 9oz glass of wine is $20, Before tip. Should you stay here, take your own beverages. Don’t be in the back where partying goes on well into the night. I use to like this place. But this place is in need a serious overhaul with staff attitude, Manners and realizing may be, hopefully other people that have an acceptable work ethic that you are expendable. So sick of hearing how good it is people just show up for work! Marriott grow a pair, pay them better if and only if the do a reasonable job. Get worthwhile mangers. I've arrived on the 23rd of June. I booked the room until the 3rd of July, and it was a total of $1300. The lady whose name is laurn said its going to hold $1500 from the card because I decided to pay in cash when I check out right now I'm trying to check early in first of July she's telling me that my total is 1750 they been changing the room rate everyday and its not suppose to be like that I'm checking out 2 days before the 3rd of July and they want me to pay $1750 the manager inside refusing to come in front to talk to me it's really bad experience in here please for all visitors watch out for them they are scam

Me and my family was there for the weekend. The service there was not that great. I called ahead for a joint room. I spoke to someone named Sadie. I was assured that I had them. Upon arrival we told they was giving away. It's was noisy. The ice machine made noise all night long. The A/C kept going off. We woke in middle the night had keep turning it on. The place was so noisy. I asked for handicap accessible walk in shower. I was assured that I had gotten it when I booked the room. They told me upon arrival 'first come, first served. We started to leave, but my husband and decided to stay.

I made a reservation to stay here from the courtyard Danville website only after calling to book with a receptionist and receiving no answer. I reserved with the knowledge (provided via my email confirmation) that I could cancel my reservation at no charge at anytime prior to midnight of March 26. (Btw the stay was from 3/26-3/27). I was only nearby for work and since we ended up finishing early, when I arrived back at my home destination 3 hours away, I called to cancel the reservation around 7pm, about 5 hours ahead of the midnight time limit. I was told that I could not receive a refund because I used a third party to book. I communicated that I used their website and that my confirmation email stated that I was entitled to a refund if I canceled within the given time limit. I was told to email my reservation to the hotel and that the hotel would contact me. After a day with no call, I called the hotel again to follow up and it turned out that I sent the email to a slightly incorrect address. I was given the correct address and then told again that someone would reach out to me. Three days go by after the second call and I received no callback. I ended up calling customer service and they told me I had to handle this with the hotel. I communicated to this gentleman what had transpired and that I had received no calls from the hotel. The man with whom I spoke told me that I could file a claim, so I did that, thinking it would be easier and quicker. Three days after my claim is filed, I get an email from the case resolution specialist, Diane L, saying that no help could be provided regarding my situation because a cancellation could not be verified. I told her that I called and requested a cancellation but it didn’t matter apparently. I kept pleading for something to be done about this because I was charged close to $200 for a one night stay that I didn’t even enjoy. I even asked about a voucher for a one night stay and I couldn’t even get that. I am so extremely disappointed in how this ordeal transpired, particularly because I considered Courtyad by Marriott to be a great hotel. But this was really ridiculous and nonsensical. Not even a voucher???? Unreal.
