I almost didn't stay here because of previous negative reviews, but then I saw it has been completely renovated. I'm incredibly picky about hotels and had no problem here. ||I can see that it would have been a tired hotel before the reno, but didn't pay attention to the previous reviews that say it's dirty and rundown. It's not.||My room was clean. It still smelled like new carpet. I had no complaints. There was a very sweet older woman at the desk who checked me in. I wish I had gotten her name.||I found it very nice to be able to access Starbucks in the lobby early in the morning. In-room coffee makers are the worst (which they have) and it's not convenient to leave that early for coffee. Kudos for that. ||The location is fine. It can be easy to miss once you turn onto Fashion Sq, so pay attention to little signs with arrows. I think Marriott should have better signage. I think this place would be confusing to find at night. ||Overall, if you need a hotel that is clean and checks the boxes, this is it. Not a luxury experience, but a good one overall.
Clean room and hallways, comfortable bed. Quiet!!!! and great blackout curtain.|Will definitely be back. Awesome courtyard and seating in well maintained space. The bar and lobby looked inviting and relaxed but I did not try anything from the bar or kitchen.
We selected this hotel against the Hilton option, despite being Hilton Diamonds, because of the staff. Becky, Lindsay and Alex greet us joyfully every morning with made to order breakfasts that get us out the door well fed. ||The front staff is great - John, Joe, Bryan, Cassie, and Karolyn make everyone feel like it is home. Janet in housekeeping is awesome. ||All in all, it's like staying with extended family. The service, personalities and atmosphere are disproportionately awesome for a Courtyard. Top marks.
This is absolutely one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed. This is not a 4-diamond lux experience in terms of character but it is above and beyond that with consideration to service, cleanliness, location, and ease. Every staff member here was genuinely welcoming and kind. There’s a simple but nice Bistro with good options for both food and drink. If I had to render one complaint it would be that breakfast ends at 9:30 instead of 10am. Every Marriott should strive to offer this experience to customers.
Excellent hotel seemed newly renovated. Great black out curtains keep out the light for sleeping. Nice size regular rooms. Well kept. Easy access from parking. Right next to the shopping mall. Convenient to area attractions. Great customer service! Everyone very friendly.
Friendly staff, comfortable, clean and recently updated. We stayed here for two nights with our dog. The hotel looks a little dated from the outside, but the rooms were clean and the bathroom seemed to have been recently updated. Shower had good pressure. We had a little balcony overlooking the courtyard. Only issue is that the value was not great - pretty expensive for what you get. I'd stay here again if the price was right.
Rooms are basic Marriott layout, nothing spectacular.
Location is great, very close to outdoor mall. Restaurants and bars within walking distance.
Service is okay.. bartender in the evening is amazing! Goes above and beyond for people. Management and reception are all wonderful. Room cleaners are lazy and do bare minimum. Morning bistro staff, don’t bother bugging them. They don’t want to see you and don’t want to talk to you. After feeling like we were a nuisance to the morning bistro for our coffee orders we gave up on bugging them.
Overall good hotel, could use some work on staff morale.
Train station nearby, although convenient.. very noisy. Windows not sound proof. Train goes late past 11pm
The rooms and location are average and fine for what they are, however the service was great. Every person we encountered was extremely friendly and accommodating.

We needed a little staycation for our anniversary between lots of Christmas events we couldnât miss. So my husband surprised me with a night at the Clifton.
The carriage house was lovely! They arranged to have a gorgeous flower bouquet in the room
This place specializes in distilling rum and they do it extremely well. Hopefully the owner will read this and correct me but I believe they even have 3 different types of gin based on a rum distillate. This is a small Distillery with all of their p
