Courtyard Boston Natick - Hotel in Natick - 342 Speen St, USA

My daughter and I stayed at this hotel for three days. I really enjoyed the customer service when my flight was delayed and I asked for my daughter to check in on behalf of me. This process went smoothly, and it allowed me a peace of mind while I was already stressed about my continuous delayed flight. The hotel in general has a nice atmosphere and the front desk staff were professional and approachable. There is a bistro available on the first floor of the hotel which is very convenient although we did not have a chance to check it out. The hotel looks okay externally and internally overall but could use some updated furniture and touch ups in the room. The room was a little smaller than I am used to for a Courtyard Marriott, but the bed was comfortable enough for our three days stay there. There were some hiccups with our room: (1) We had to call the front desk to fix the remote control for the TV; the remote stopped working several times during our stay. (2) There is a refrigerator but no microwave in the room which is very inconvenient, so we ended up eating cold leftovers from when we went out. (3) The bathroom was not cleaned very well: the toilet area smelled like pee, the toilet seat had a strange burn/peeling on it, there was a rust looking stain in the toilet, and the tub had a ring around it. Our stay at this hotel served its purpose; however, the cleaning staff needs to pay more attention to detail especially when cleaning the bathroom area. If we were going to stay there any longer, I would have definitely asked to be moved to another room.

Nice lobby and location. Looks like they forgot to remodel the rooms when they did the lobby. Kitchen should change their oil and clean their equipment because after 5pm the whole hotel smells like old grease and fried chicken…….and my room was on the fifth floor. Overall ok, just know the rooms are dated and prepare for the smell.

Plusses and Minuses.....||Plus - Decent location. Walkable to Natick Mall. Plenty of walking trails nearby. Check in was easy and room easily accessible. Room was spacious and bed was comfortable. Lobby was spacious and the hotel dining was EXCELLENT. Much better than most hotel dining establishments. Awesome having a balcony! Clean. ||Minus - Lobby was always hot, we spend a lot of time in the lobby area as we do not like being confined to a room but it was very warm and humid. Our room refrigerator worked at probably 5%. If there was 1-2 bottles of water it was fine but anything over that it just stayed warm. The last morning before checkout our shower did not drain and brown stuff was backing up.....GROSS!!!!!! We would have spoken to the desk before we left but we had to leave for an early game and were running behind. The outdoor area is a nice covered patio but impossible to sit at. There were bugs everywhere and the patio is clearly neglected. We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights and the same two drink cups with rotting fruit were on a table outside the entire time. ||BEWARE - There are no hotel pools in Natick. They were closed for COVID but never re-opened. Reviews and travel sites still advertise a pool with photos. There are none!!

I booked a room with a King bed and a Queen sofa bed for my wife and I and our two teenage boys. I prepaid for the room and check-in online early because I knew we would be arriving late. However, when I got there they didn't have the room I booked and gave me two choices, either drive half an hour to another hotel or take the room they had and be comped for the booking and breakfast. It was really late and my wife was ill and hadn't come with us so I decided to take the comp and share a single king bed with my two teenage boys. I did get the comped breakfast after some back and forth in the morning but almost a month later I still have not been comped for my stay. I have reached out to the hotel on several occasions and nothing. This is terrible customer service! I would rather not have been offered the comp then been made a promise that they clearly never intended to keep.

When we first checked in on Mother's Day our lovely suite came with a constant and loud background buzz. We asked at the front desk to be moved. David, covering the desk that afternoon, couldn't have been more helpful. We ended up with a very quiet room, just down the hall so we didn't have to move our things very far at all. And we both experienced one of the best night's sleeps that we've ever had in a hotel. This morning John was covering the desk and, again, could not have been more helpful. It says a lot about a hotel when the staff is warm, welcoming, and above all goes to lengths to accommodate their guests. We will definitely stay there in the future. Andbonus points for one of the BEST breakfast sandwiches I've ever had: brioche bun with eggs, bacon, and arugula tossed in a light vinaigrette. Truly delicious. Well done on all fronts, Courtyard!!

Positive: Very friendly, helpful, and responsive front desk staff. The people staying at the hotel that I encountered were very friendly and nice as well. Negative: I went down to the restaurant for lunch and discovered that they were closed for lunch. Maybe I missed the lunch hours posting.

The hotel rooms need serious updates but it is comfortable. Location is great and service was top notch. Really surprised this one is so dated with multiple newer options in the area. Hopefully it's in the plans as this location is great for my needs
