Courtyard Boston Brookline - Hotel in Brookline - 40 Webster St, USA

Me and two friends stayed at this hotel. Before booking this hotel I called the front desk to confirm a roller bed was available at the hotel for my reservation. I was told that the roller beds are first come first serve and can only be requested the day of the reservation or at check in. I called earlier in the afternoon to request the roller bed for our reservation. The person that answered the phone told me it was available and the bed will be in our room upon our arrival. We arrived and went to our room and the roller bed was not there. I asked the front desk and they told me it was no longer available. I understood that things happen so I asked if it would be available the next night in our reservation. He told me it would be. I then requested extra bedding to the room because the pull out couch had no bedding and there was none in the closet. We then left the hotel and came back 2 hours later to find no extra bedding in our room.. We then went back down to the front desk and requested it again. He then called to get it brought up. About 30 minutes later the bedding showed up. We requested for 2 sets of bedding and all we got was one blanket and a bunch of sheets and no extra pillows. We ended up just dealing with what he got because it was late. The next day before leaving I reminded the front desk that we needed the roller bed in our room and he told me it would be there when we get back. We came back later that day and we did no have the roller bed. We asked to get the roller bed and the guy at the front desk said it was not available. So in general I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Location is excellent and the hotel itself is fine for a short stay. But… We may have got unlucky with our room (410) as it got really hot. The air con worked great but it was like having a wind turbine in the room and woke me up the first night terrible so had to turn it off. When I woke up the room temp was 77. Also could hear the conversations of the guests next door very loudly later one night. The car park is way over proved, $50 a day, which if you’re staying more than one night like I did is crazy.

We stayed at the Courtyard Boston Brookline for two nights from June 30 through July 2, 2024. We were in Boston for a serious medical procedure and selected this hotel for it's proximity to medical testing and the hospital where the surgery was scheduled. We are Lifetime Platinum Members and were expecting the same great experiences we appreciate about Marriott. WE WERE SADLY DISAPPOINTED! We stayed in a suite (Room 321) to make our stay a little more comfortable as I faced a big surgery two days after arrival. Our room was DISGUSTING! Quite honestly, this was the worst hotel room we have ever stayed in! To start, the shower was moldy - not a little here or there, but along a significant portion of the caulk lines and walls. The toilet seat was literally flaking off in two spots, leaving a raised texture that felt like it could be a breeding ground for germs. The sofa had a large (over two foot) stain on it to the point that we didn't want to sit on it. The carpet was ripped in 2 or 3 places and one of the table chairs had several holes in the seat. The paint on the window soffit was peeling and flaking. The closet doors didn't fully close (minor). The bathroom door was water damaged. The only redeeming quality of our stay was the fact that the hotel and our room was very quiet which was appreciated as I faced my surgery. In any other circumstance, we would have spoken to the manager and requested a room change or a refund and changed hotels. We were too emotional about the whirlwind around my diagnosis and surgery four days later, that we did not have it in us to do so. So, we just stayed put, tried to ignore the long list of things that made our stay very uncomfortable and vowed that when we return for treatments/testing, we will never stay at this hotel again. In summary, as devoted Marriott Lifetime Platinum Members, we expected much more from Marriott. This hotel was a huge disappointment and did not align with any of our previous experiences. After a red eye flight from California that was terrible, waiting over an hour for luggage and a disastrous experience with the car rental agency… coming into this hotel was truly an oasis!!! ALANI, the front office manager, took such great care of us the moment we walked in. She was so courteous and friendly and she gave us a very early check-in. She saw how exhausted we were and she bent over backwards, with a huge smile on her face, to accommodate us! THANK YOU, ALANI!!! Your service was 10 stars!!! We are so grateful for what you did for us!!! 😄

Location is very convenient. Lots of places to eat nearby and other amenities. Ample of parking in the building. It’s right by the T. It has a nice courtyard inside and laundry rooms to use for guests. The only thing of an inconvenience is that one of the elevators are out of service. It takes a long time to wait for the elevator.

Spent over 1100$ for 2 nights…most electrical sockets did not work..left room early morning and returned at 4pm to find room had not been cleaned..housekeeping said they were busy and would “refresh”(not clean) the room as a 3 night stay would be needed for that…talked to the front desk person who explained her housekeeping staff doesn’t understand English enough to really know what they’re doing…thought it horrible how she disrespected those hardworking people…great location but so disappointing!|No longer are there any bathroom amenities btw…one tiny bar of soap for sink…none for shower….shower gel/body wash on wall empty…washed with shampoo as that was full…wow…stayed at Marriott AC at Cleveland circle 2 weeks ago and would definitely go there next time I visit Boston-PS…1 elevator didn’t work the whole weekend….everyone had to wait for the other one during a busy weekend…really unacceptable for over 1000$ for 2 nights!

Asst manager SAVED THE DAY when he “worked some magic” by getting us a room in this sold-out hotel. If you’re reading this, THANK YOU AGAIN!! ||||We got stuck after the Airbnb we checked into was *not as described* and I had to speak at an event that night. ||||The room was great. Quiet and clean, comfortable. Parking was easy and safe. Cute area to walk around in. Most of all, we so appreciated how accommodating and professional the staff were.

The only plus to this hotel is its location. Aside from that, it was not a great experience saying here. Even though we stayed for two nights (at a high rate!), they didn’t offer full cleaning service? Never have heard of that and when we asked the front desk agent she was rude in her reply. The shower gel was never filled and therefore, we had no soap in the shower for the entirety of our stay. Several of the outlets in the room didn’t work and one of the elevators in the lobby was broken - making it difficult to get up and down. Parking is a bit of a hassle and knowing I had to park and walk from garage - no one offered to hold bags and/or take bags up to room…Overall, wouldn’t stay here again. The service and experience was definitely not on-par for the price.
