Quiet location. For a new hotel, WTH? The shower had a lot of hair in it. The ironing board cover was a flimsy sheet that had nothing to keep it on the board. Not even gravity. The water temperature was baffling as to why it would take almost 20 minutes to get hot water to the 2nd floor.

The check in process was very difficult and lengthy. The clerk seems to be very confused with a simple check in. I reserved two rooms, one for my in-laws. When checking in the in-laws card somehow was used for both rooms. This should be a simple debit/credit correction. I called four times. The first time I was told to call back later when they were not busy. The second time I was told that the manager would have to call me back. The third time there was no answer. The fourth time I spoke to the manager who explained that I would have to complete a “payment authorization form” and it would take 4 to 6 days to complete. He emailed me the form which I completed and followed up with at return email. I received confirmation email saying he would complete the debit/credit and send me confirmation. It has been more than 10 days and I have not received the debit/credit, a confirmation that it has been done or a return email or phone call to my latest attempts to contact them. I stay 100+ nights in hotels per year and this is by far has been the most difficult to resolve a simple issue. I am hoping that I get this resolved soon. I would recommend the Tru by Hilton next door or Hampton across the street.

After being in Auburn all day and not feeling awake enough to make a drive home I decided to book a room. I didn't have much to choose from because every hotel in the area seemed to be full (on a weeknight) and prices were sky-high! |The outside of the Marriott was clean and well-lit and generally felt like a safe area. The entrance from the main road was not lit up and was difficult to see.|Check-in was easy, but the desk person lacked in personality or hospitality. She was just doing her job. |I knew before booking that this hotel does not serve complimentary breakfast. I usually choose hotels with breakfast because 1. We pay a lot of money to stay at these establishments 2. My kids love to pick different things (like making their own waffles) to eat that we normally wouldn't make at home. 3. It's convenient. |Nonetheless, no breakfast at this Marriott, unless you visit their bar area and order and pay for food. |A guest checking in ahead of me asked about breakfast - I knew exactly what he was asking. The woman checking him in pointed (at the bar) and said it's over there from (this time to that time) not once saying it isn't included. I bet he was in for a surprise the next morning. |As for the room, it was clean and smelled good, unlike many hotels I've stayed in. |It's your standard room, but slightly larger than most. The beds were comfortable and had lots of pillows and the sheets were soft - win!|The bathroom had a large open shower and plenty of hooks and towel racks. |Only 1 coffee cup which sucks when you have more than 1 person in your room who wants coffee. And it looked like someone had spit in the coffee maker - people are nasty! Why???|Also, the mini fridge had something growing in it which I presumed was black mold. |As a word of caution for anyone traveling with small children, the window in our room could be slid open easily. I've never stayed in a hotel where the windows actually opened. |Clean.|Comfortable. |Safe.|No complimentary breakfast.

(Late Post) My family and I stayed here while we were transitioning my son into college life. After reading the reviews, I was somewhat hesitant. Especially reading the reviews from people of color. I booked the room anyway, because there were a few reviews that gave me hope. I'm glad that I did. The staff was pleasant and friendly and helped us feel comfortable in the space. Our room was clean. The pool was not the greatest, but not the worst. We had fun. The location was close enough, that I was able to get the things my Son needed for his dorm. We would stay here again.

The room was clean, though a bit aged. The front desk service was pretty good but the bistro service was ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. The rep was late opening the bistro & she had major negative attitude (no smile, no thank you....just negative attitude...nothing positive at all). We were the first in line, thankfully. Though we waited a good while to get our food after it finally opened, most had to wait an exceptionally long time to even place an order. The line just kept getting longer & the rep's attitude kept getting worse. Candidly, food was just "ok", but certainly not worth the wait. If you are going to stay here, be sure you have an alternative breakfast plan, as this bistro experience simply does not come close to quality service.....and most certainly not aligned with what you would expect of Marriott.

The hotel is finishing up a great renovation. The rooms and halls are freshly done and the hotel is very clean for being at the tail end of a remodel.|We stayed for grad weekend so the hotel was at capacity. My only complaint is that even with the grad gauging rate the hotel didn't seemed to be staffed to handle the influx. We all knew when graduation was going to be held, the hotel was booked solid so hire up some temporary help. After paying 4X the standard rate there should be enough profit to staff the hotel accordingly.

We booked 2 rooms for 2 nights. When we arrived the hotel was under construction ( which they never advertised) the lift was outside the window beeping at 740 in the morning. Our room was dirty when we arrived ( towel in bathroom, stuff in fridge, fridge didn't work and comforter was stained) after staying one night we left and went to Holiday Inn down the road. The pool was locked and furniture was either covered bc of them painting or very little of it. Hotel is under new management now so they are in middle of changing things, maybe it will get better later down the road. But for now I would stay somewhere else. I will say when we wanted to leave after 1 night they allowed us to cancle the other night with no penalty ( which we were greatful) the staff was somewhat friendly.

Was a Roach in my room took pictures and then killed it and took it to the front desk. Front desk clerk said oh gosh these are the bad Roaches that are german cockroach which I agreed. We had traveled from Mexico to to Alabama with and elderly lady and 2 kids. After traveling literally hours I told her that if they are in one room they are probably in them all and that my crew was tired from traveling and we already showering and getting ready for bed that we would just stay in that room and as long as someone knew and would reach out that's all I needed. She gave me an email address and said that the room would be comped and she was so so sorry for the accident. I told her no worries it happens just please have someone reach out. I emailed the pictures and information and upon check out I made sure they got my pictures and the front desk lady apologized and said someone would be reaching out to me to make it right. I get an email from the Gm to call him directly at such and such number. I reach its just the front desk guy that tells me they are trying to rehire an old employee and it would be a minute. No big deal couple seconds go by and it's the gm asking me why I am calling as I try to explain I found a cockroach in my room he gets defensive and tells me he doesn't have a cockroach problem he has an ant problem. I explain to him that what I found in my room wasn't an ant but in fact a Roach he proceeded to tell me he has to due monthly expectations and it couldn't have happened only ants. I told him I in fact killed the Roach took it downstairs to the front desk and she did whatever she needed to do with it to vary the issue. By rhe way if you are that queen you are too good for this place! You are sweet and humble. I was the asked what was the reason for my call and I expressed that he needed to get a bug man out there that I killed a Roach. He then went on about bed bugs accusing me of staying he had bed bugs with I never said a word about bed bugs and had to tell him over and over I said nothing about bed bugs and this conversation was getting no where and asked of he would just refund my night and he hung up on me so here is the cockroach in room 210

The front desk staff were friendly. The suite was nice. I loved being able to control the temperature in the bedroom. The only downside was the fact that are not enough places to hang towels in the bathroom.
