Courtyard Akron Stow - Hotel in Stow - 4047 Bridgewater Pkwy, USA

We were staying at this location for a pass through night between Cleveland and going to NFL Hall of Fame. For a single night it met our needs. The room was pretty clean but the shower was a bit broken. The staff was friendly and had a small bar you can get a drink at after your day of events. Overall it was pleasant and easy to get to from the highway, so for a pass through evening, it will be fine. For longer stays, you may look elsewhere.

We obtained a room block from them for this past weekend for us and some of our wedding guests. The whole process was easy and Kellianne was so kind and accommodating throughout and was so easy to work with! Check-in and check-out was seamless and they were able to accommodate our every need. From passing out our welcome bags to providing us with a complimentary bottle in our room. Even storing our cake and other food in their walk-in fridge. Rooms were really nice and clean. And staff went above and beyond during our stay.

BEDBUGS AT THE PROPERTY - STAY AWAY While staying at this hotel this week, I encountered bedbugs in my room, room 203. I have photographs of the bedbugs, and an Orkin Pest Control agent was dispatched to investigate the room, as well. I was on site when he conducted his investigation, and he confirmed the presence of bedbugs in the room. Despite this, the hotel manager has not answered a single one of my multiple phone calls, and the hotel claims there were no damages and that no compensation will therefore be provided. This is completely unacceptable, and is antithetical to the quality of service Courtyard by Marriott promises its guests. Stay as far away as humanly possible from this hotel.

I stayed here on business the week of 7/22. I travel often for business and have never experienced this type of amazing customer service. Upon booking, I asked for a box fan. I was told they had none. Upon arrival, there was a box fan sitting in my room! I need the white noise to sleep. On day 1 , I noticed my refrigerator wasn’t cooling properly. I mentioned this to Alesha and team. When I came back to my room after work, I had a new fridge with my ice cold drinks in it! This entire staff are superheroes. Thank you Alesha and team for making sure I felt at home, Give these folks a raise!

On the weekend starting on May 4th, we had up to six couples, consisting of of family and friends, visiting from out of town, to attend our 60th anniversary celebration.||We recommended this hotel to our guests based on convenience, amenities such as availability of food and drink, available meeting rooms where we could socialize as a group, and of course, price.||Our out of town guests were very complimentary about the friendliness and willingness of EVERYONE to go “above and beyond” to make everyone happy. The rooms and the common areas were always very clean.||Please express our appreciation to your entire staff at the Courtyard Marriot, Stow.

Rooms: Definitely needs an upgrade. Lights were very dim, hard to apply make up. Chipped wood furnishing. Dusty. Pillows are super soft and go flat when you lay in them. ||Front desk: not welcoming. Manager Did not greet us, just walked my each morning. Microwave is in the front, none in the room, fyi||Bistro: VERY-expensive! Found out they have complimentary coffee for guest on day 2 after I scanned behind the bistro and saw a pot sitting by itself. No cups were available. Went back to the front desk and asked for cups. ||Elevator: the carpet definitely needs updating. Dirty. ||Pool: looked cloudy and was extremely dirty with mildew. Did not use. Jacuzzi was non operational ( I think it been like that for awhile) looking at the other reviews. ||We were put in a handicap room, when I never requested one. ||The pool was definitely the low point of the trip. My daughter looks forward to swimming and my husband the whirlpool. |Parking was fine. Right off the highway. 10mins from Cuyahoga national Park. ||We drove 4 hours to come to this. ||Won’t book her again there is a Hilton next door, although I prefer Marriott. Might try downtown next trip.

I’ve been here 3 times this year and always encounter the friendliest staff. Tonight they went above and beyond. Our family has had a rough week so it was greatly appreciated. They gave me “Guest of the Day” which included an upgraded room, free breakfast and 500 bonus points and I was already staying on points. The hotel is clean and quiet and that’s what I need after a day of traveling. In my opinion this is the nicest Marriott owned property close to Kent State. I could stay much closer in a non-Marriott property, but for me the extra drive is worth it.

I would not recommend this hotel. The room was filthy. Garbage was left on The floor under the bed skirt. Dried pee on the toilet seat. And our legs were covered in bedbug bites the next morning.
