Country Sunshine - Campground in Weslaco - 1601 S Airport Dr, USA

Our review of this place is a 5 star place the staff were great and helped our every needs. The resort had what we where looking for a 55yrs. and up community in our age group The people here are so great to be around and enjoy.

We are full timers and ThousandTrails members and the Encore parks are part of our membership, nice park, friendly staff and residents. Weekly meals at the activity center. Happy Hours and music. Heated pool and the spa works great!!

Booked online and showed up and they "didn't know we were coming." Would not give us the code to get in the park so every time we left we had to call someone at home to get back in. After we had unloaded the weekend person called to inform us that we also owed a $500 dog deposit that no one had mentioned! Then the dog next door began barking at our sliding glass door taunting our dog. Online it said the park model slept 4 and there was a double bed and an extremely uncomfortable futon that was awful to sleep in! They also said there was a deck. There was not. We left on Monday and we were told it's normally as expensive as we paid for the week for only a day! And she was more concerned about that than in how we had been treated. DO NOT BOOK THIS ONLINE! They apparently don't know what is going on there and they were very unfriendly. I will never bother with this place again!

We live here year round. Rest pf survey is not applicable. We feel our manager and her staff are doing an excellent job. Chris is available for suggestions and complaints; does her best to fix or implement, And tells us upfront if it is not doable. Hope she never leaves! We have been coming here since spring of 2002, and been permanent residents since around 2007.

This is one of our favorite thousand Trails RV parks in Southern Texas. It in Weslaco. Very safe, very clean. It is an adult community RV park. They have tons and tons of activities for their permanence but you can also participate if you want. Just a really great place to stay when you want to relax and enjoy the area.

This was my fifth winter at Country Sunshine in Weslaco, TX. It is always great to leave the snow and cold and be where it is warm for part of the winter.||Improvements are continuing to be made at the park for the general public. It would be great if the computer and printer in the library were functional. I have been using the Public Library in Weslaco because of this.||I was not happy with the library and cataloging of the books. The Large Print have been intermixed with all other books and are very difficult to find. My solution was to visit Southern Comfort Park where the Large Print are shelved separate.||I am an apartment dweller as are many others that wish not to own property. The apartments are a nice size and located in a nice area of the park. Things to improve at the apartments are:||Internet access; replacement of all shades (not operable for the most part); larger screen TV (very difficult to read from either chair or bed); replace rocker glider with recliner; uniform dishes and utensils between all units; check faucets in bathrooms (some need to be replaced); scrub floor between residents (have found them to be very dirty); replace tile floors (very hard to keep clean); replace grass in apartment yard that has been dug up; check outside window screens (found some to be loose); wash windows--inside and outside; larger bulbs in ceiling lights or better lighting; floor lamp for reading; spray inside and outside apartments for insects on a routine basis; shelves should be made for all apartments that do not have such in the previous small refrigerator area.||Apartment living is great but the upkeep needs to be done to make them acceptable to those who choose to live in them.||I will be returning next year. I am hoping some of the items I have mentioned can be addressed over the winter. I do like the new programmed door locks--nice not handle a key.

Very well kept, and friendly neighbors. We enjoyed the pool and hut tub everyday and very convenient location to stores and small attractions. We had a very nice stay. I really enjoyed racing my RC truck on the well maintained Dirt track built by the residence of the park.

Country sunshine is one of the 10 encore parks in the RGV. It was the third one we had stayed in and I would list it number #3/3.||The park is older and not all sites are 50 amp. However, we found the location to be very good as you could ride bikes to the Estero Llano Grande park for a very nice bicycle ride.||The laundry was very difficult to use as it only allowed CSC cards (could not use the CSC mobile app). However the park didn’t have any cards for purchase.||The residence, however, were very accommodating, friendly, and participated in many of the activities provided - making it quite an active park.
