Country Sunshine Bed and Breakfast - Bed & breakfast in Durango - 35130 US-550, USA

The Inn keepers are incredibly kind and thoughtful. Our flight was suppose land at 3:30 pm. We ended up arriving at 1:30 am in the following day. We texted Walter. He left a person note to welcome us and clear signs to help us to find our room easily and connect to WiFi. Our room was clean, cozy, and comfortable.|The breakfast was excellent. It included bagels, muffins, hard boiled, coffee, juice, eggs, pastries, fruit… there are big-comfortable dining tables inside and outside on the deck. The back deck has lovely mountain views. There are lots hummingbirds and deer to watch. |The Inn is in a peaceful-quiet spot. You pull out of the short dirt road and go about 15 minutes straight down route 550 into downtown Durango for restaurants. The hot springs are about 8 minutes away.|We sincerely appreciate the wonderful hospitality we experienced at this sweet inn.

Over many years, my husband and I have been treating ourseves by staying at the Country Sunshine Bed and Breakfast in Durango, CO. |The host and hostess, Walter and Jodie, are the finest and most cordial couple you will ever meet. |The property is beautiful with an expansive view of the mountains and open landscape. |Each room at the two story 'inn', (which I think of as a chalet), has it's own unique decor. There is even a baby grand piano in the 'meeting' room.| Walter never disappoints with his culinary skills. Every morning is a surprise 'treat' including fresh fruit and homemade bakery goods. My husband and I enjoy our breakfast on the outdoor deck when the weather is promising.| A hot tub is surrounded by a floral garden to enjoy; and there is plenty of parking on this very private property. You will not be disappointed by treating yourselves a stay at the Country Sunshine Bed and Breakfast.

We had a great stay at country sunshine! Walter and Jodi were really welcoming and the b&b was cozy and had incredible views. I loved drinking coffee on the deck and watching the hummingbirds in the morning! Highly recommend staying here

We just came home from three days at Country Sunshine. It was our second visit with Jodie and Walter who continue to provide hospitality over and above what can reasonably be expected. The breakfast buffet each morning allowed us the time to meet other guests indoors OR on the beautiful deck in the pines with an incredible number of hummingbirds, chickadees, black headed bluejays and others for amazement and amusement!||There is no wonder why Country Sunshine is the #1 BnB in Durango! We highly recommend it, and thank Walter and Jodie for their hospitality and caring!

What a wonderful place! Walter and Jodi were very warm hosts. We were welcomed to make ourselves right at home, complete with delicious homemade cookies, upon arrival. We loved being able to lounge in the back yard and read, while listening to the river and watching the various birds visit their feeders. Our room was quiet and had ample room for me and my two children. Everything was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed sitting outside in the hot tub for a bit, while looking at the night sky. Breakfast the next morning was exceptional, with much to choose from. It is also a reasonable distance from Durango. We hope to return again someday to this special place.

Jody and Walter were a great hostess team. From the moment we arrived, Jody welcomed us and showed us around with personal detail. The place was gorgeous, inside and out. Walter was planting fruit trees and flowers the next morning. Somehow, he managed to bake cookies every day for all the guests to enjoy. Sonny, their pooch, was friendly and his playfulness was contagious. I would HIGHLY recommend this place, and the rates were stunningly low.

Wonderful place to stay in Durango. Peaceful with beautiful scenery and many relaxing areas to sit and enjoy. Jody and Walter are wonderful hosts in their clean very comfortable B&B. Stayed three nights and wished we could have stayed more. We will certainly return.

We really enjoyed our stay here. This was only our second time at a B and B and we really enjoyed it. The location is great. About halfway between town and the slopes which was perfect for us. The property is great. Nice patio, big deck with chairs facing the mountains and only about 100 yards from the river so you could enjoy the sound, a few other sitting areas out on the grass, a hot tub with a walkway and solar lights going to it that we used every night after skiing. Decent amount of parking and fairly easy to find after our first time. Nice inside. A lot of antiques and nice rooms. Downstairs living room with couches, a big fireplace, TV and refrigerator. Piano and a few guitars if you play. Comfortable bed which is very important to me. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming. Nice continental breakfast with fresh eggs straight from the coop. We had 8 deer walk right past us while we were out back and 10-12 at the top of the driveway.
