If you are in/near Taneytown, MD this is a must visit. Small, family owned diner with the most amazing comfort food. Only open for breakfast and lunch, we ate breakfast twice on our recent visit. Once just wasn't enough! The food is cooked fresh after you order, so it takes a bit longer than fast food, but it's so worth the wait. With our party of 7 we ate a bit of everything. The biscuit and gravy divine, the omelets very generous and delicious, the French toast and waffles amazing. You can't go wrong!

I’m not sure what the other reviews are talking about with the wait time and cold food. I’ve never ever had that problem. When I order carry out or eat there the food is always ready within 10-20 mins depending on what was ordered. It’s a small place so ordering carry out is the best option. The food is really good, my son loves the waffles and I usually get the eggs, home fries and toast. The only thing negative I can say about the food is that sometimes they put too much butter on the toast so just ask them to go light on the butter with the toast. Prices are about average for breakfast spots.

old country style. had a good brunch there during a bike ride. it was fun. the area is safe. our bike was parked outside. decent service. the food flavor was mild, comforting, very helpful.

Great breakfast. Had never tried scrapple and it was awesome.

Family type restaurant. Feels like you are sitting in someone's kitchen. I had a western omelette with bagel and ham. Perfectly cooked. Coffee was always full. Loved it. Good prices, excellent service.

Great little find passing through. Service was great at the bar. Food was delicious. Wife had a feta spinach omelet that was loaded with it. Usally you can barely find the fillings. Worth the stop.

Great waitress. For the amount of time we waited for our food, the wife got eggs and homefries, I got the sausage gravy over homefries, the food was cold. Really dont understand how sausage gravy is cold. First bite I thought, won't be back. The wife thought the same thing. We love little places like this. Just not this one.

Nice little local place in downtown Taneytown that has been there for many years. Typical breakfast foods. We ordered the 2 eggs, toast, potatoes, two waters and a hot tea. Food was sort of bland, hot water for tea felt like it was tap water hot and took a while to steep my tea, potatoes were under cooked and the amount of unmelted butter on the toast was enough to butter 3 times the amount of toast. (I added a picture of the excess butter) I was given two tea bags and wasn't asked if I wanted more hot water till I was finished the meal. Bacon was cooked perfect as were the eggs. Seemed a little pricey for the Atmosphere was really nice and friendly. Unfortunately we will not be going back.
