Country Inn - Motel in Licking - 201 State Hwy 32, USA

We needed a cheap place to stay while visiting my husband's family out here as her house is under renovation. I've stayed in some cheap motels before, but they are usually at least clean. This one IS NOT ...I do NOT recommend this place. We stayed in room 115. We walked in and immediately smelled urine. I ended up going and buying some clorox bleach cleaner to spray the bathroom down. The furniture was dusty, the carpets stained, the towels stains. I dont even know if they even attempted to clean this room before we checked in. I'm pretty sure people rent out these rooms to live in as well, and we could hear people outside our door late at night. The air unit worked but made the most god awful noises.

Beat up motel, kind of rude manager. On the plus side, the bed was comfortable, AC good, good shower and a pool. Carpet and towels were stained. When to get my free breakfast at 6:30 but the door was locked, Wouldn't let me park my bike in front, well out of the way of traffic. Good value if you're in a real pinch.

Absolutely disgusting. Do NOT stay here. Biggest horror show of a hotel or motel I’ve ever stayed at. Arrived, having booked through Priceline, and the man working the front desk tried to get me to pay a second time. I had to literally argue with him that the money had already come out of my bank account. Finally he submitted, but this was a good omen of what was to come. Get into the room, and it smells like somebody peed on the carpet. Just absolutely rank. Use the restroom, unroll a new toilet paper roll, and no less than TEN cockroaches fall out of it. Absolutely foul. So I go back to the desk and politely request a different room or a refund, as I refuse to deal with bugs. He initially refuses, trying to get me to stay in the room, claiming he’ll come in and “spray.” After arguing with him about why I don’t want to sleep in a room with a cockroach infestation, he finally submits and gives me a different room. In this one, the AC is broken (it’s Missouri in the summertime, thus HOT), and there are spiders in the bathroom. At this point I was completely fed up. I go back to the desk and ask for a refund, which of course he rudely refuses. I have had to stay at some horrendous hotels and motels in my day, but this one takes the cake as the very worst. Do NOT book here unless you want to deal with an absolutely vomit-inducing motel with a manager who simply doesn’t care about his customers. Cheap, but somehow still worth less than they’re charging.

I was very disappointed. It appeared like there is only one person working/owning this motel, a male. When I entered the room my first thought is not bad great price for a small town. But then the toilet was not clean and had poop on it when I lifted at the lid, the carpet was not vacuumed that well, the mirror and pictures had stains on the glass, and then in the bathroom black mold up around the ceiling... The male worker was not very friendly. So disappointed because I wanted to make this and every now and then stop but I won't. Did not want to take a picture of the toilet, as this is enough.

Traveling across the country with child and dog, So have to book rooms usually day before just to secure room, and make my milestones with driving. According to site, it's pet friendly. Only reason we drove a bit out of the way. Get there and absolutely no pets! And no refunds on canceling. We'll you can cancel 24 hours prior, but can't do that when you are being falsely advertised. And upon arriving find it out. Had a tired kid and myself to try and just Google somewhere else at 9pm...

Upon receiving my 1st room # 111. The bathroom was NOT cleaned! There was a washing hanging over the shower head and hair under the facet handle on the shower wall. Also the carpet was not vacuumed. || I went to complain and they gave me room # 112. That room, the carpet was not vacuumed and there was food crumbs under both bed flooring and also behind the nightstand. There was some dried white substance on the bottom nightstand drawer area. The toliet did not flush at all. ||I went and complained and showed them the pictures I had taken in room 112. (I should have taken pictures in room 111). I got my full refund.||The guy who was working has told me the vacuum does not fit under the bed. Also the white substance he said is a dent. I said that is no dent there. ||WARNING: the pictures you see of the motel website is NOTHING compared to what you see once you check in. You are walking into a whole different realm!

This is totally trash, the India guy was very rude and, threatened me about if he found a dog he would charge me 100 dollars , he lucky I didn’t bust his mouth cause we came down here right after my daughter passed ,and I’m not used to people treating us like trash . And there was ants and bugs in the beds , and the sink was broke it was room 110 . I will never go back or recommend these people or business very hateful

Was a perfectly fine stay. The room was nice and clean, had everything we needed. The staff person we met was not especially friendly, but adequate.
