What a wonderful surprise! This is a small family owned inn. Incredibly clean with many added extras. Shaded parking lot. Nice looking pool. A very friendly staff and a lot of amenities such as lip balm, ear plugs, black washcloths for make up removal, and I especially loved the plastic covering on the tv remote & AC remote. Very reasonably priced. Will definitely stay there again when in the area.
I've stayed at a lot of hotels and motels and experienced a range of levels of service. I have to take the time to document the absolutely horrible guest treatment I witnessed at this motel.||My elderly in-laws stayed here in order to visit with their Bay Area-based kids and grandkids. When my sister-in-law showed up at the motel with her two small children, the front desk manager SUMMONED my grandparents to the office - as if they were elementary school children and he was the principal - to inform them that their grandchildren were forbidden from using the pool.||When me, my wife and two kids showed up, we went to my in-laws' room. Within a couple of minutes, their room phone rang. Again, they were summoned to the office. I accompanied my father-in-law. The front desk manager, Marco, spoke to my grandfather in a shockingly rude and disrespectful manner, now telling him that even gatherings were forbidden at the motel, and that they try to keep a "nice" place for their fancy guests, implying that my in-laws and the rest of us were trash and had a lot of nerve even showing up. He even threatened to kick them out of the motel if they didn't comply.||Now, I could understand the front desk getting in the mix if my in-laws had violated any POSTED policies, but this 'no outside guests' policy isn't posted anywhere. Marco admitted it. And I could understand if they were concerned about actual bad behavior, but there wasn't any - we'd merely shown up, calmly and noiselessly.||Marco demonstrated a truly shocking lack of professionalism in the way he dealt with my kind, careful in-laws. I would even say he was discriminatory in his preemptive bad treatment of them and the rest of the family. ||This motel should carefully consider who it employs, and the manner in which it trains its staff in customer service.
For a reasonable price you'll stay at a clean and comfortable, well-equipped suite. Lots of thoughtful little touches like a sanitary cover for the A/C remote, a tube of lip balm, ear plugs for light sleepers, bottled water, a full-sized refrigerator, and plenty of cooking utensils and kitchen appliances (toaster, kettle, gas stove and oven, etc.). I like to save money by getting groceries during business trips, and this suite was entirely accommodating. All furnishings were clean and in great condition. The service was friendly and considerate. The parking lot also had a welcoming air with lots of shade trees and proximity to the pool. My only disappointment was the variety of the grab and go breakfast with a packaged pastry a la vending machine, but the fresh apples and oranges were a solid highlight. Overall, I'm very happy with my choice to stay at the Country Inn Motel and would definitely return if I was back in town.
Cute & quaint motel in the heart of Palo Alto The room had a full kitchen which was a pleasant surprise Perfect for an overnight stay The AT&T cell reception is not the best and the WiFi is modest at best
This motel is on El Camino Real between Palo Alto and Mountain View. There is plenty of free parking. Our room near the swimming pool was a good size, quiet and comfortable. The air conditioning unit was quiet. The pool is excellent. The motel no longer offers a pool-side breakfast but there are a few grab & go items in reception. We stocked up on breakfast items from the Safeway supermarket nearby. We stayed for 3 nights over a weekend and had no room service over that time. We were able to get additional water from reception.
A gem! So much personality and such a nice (too short) stay. The pool is beautiful, the rooms were perfectly clean, with so many extra touches, and a great experience all around. We chose the room with the kitchenette and it was perfect for us - fully stocked, very clean, a fridge and microwave - everything we needed. This will be our go-to hotel for future stays in the area!
We have stayed several times while in the area. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Ones with kitchen are decently stocked. It's in an excellent area near Stanford. The breakfast is okay, used to be better. The grounds around the motel are charming and enjoyable. Staff is very helpful.

Training at Palo Alto Fit has been a wonderful experience for me, and I owe a lot of that to my trainer, Jason! I was intimidated by the gym at first, but Jason's encouraging attitude helped me feel more comfortable. He created a personalized workou
