Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Sandusky South, OH - Hotel in Milan - 11600 US Hwy 250 N, USA

We stayed during the "Canadian wildfire smoke destroyed the outside" time, so not in great headspace. The staff here were all great (late night front desk to the person caring for the free breakfast area). It is just stuck across the street from a big agricultural production plant and borders I-80. The outdoor pool was shut down due to a mechanical issue. Not great location or amenity-wise. The rooms were fine, but the remodeling of just a few years ago is showing wear. The bathroom design does not use the space well. Price was probably the best perk.

Positive: Honestly, the breakfast was nice. The bed was comfy. The staff members were friendly. Negative: Took 3 room keys before I could get into my room. Pool was broken and out of commission. TV was tiny. Walls were paper thin, so for a place with many families in town for Cedar Point, it was hard to sleep at night with people in the hallway/other rooms.

Beds are hard. Bathrooms outdated. Carpet not swept. I always lift mattresses, pull sheets down, look in pillows, all were very clean!|Brkfst cld hv been better, they had eggs & sausage patties but no biscuits or gravy or croissants to put sausage on. No pool open but they sd we cld go down the street to sister hotel (who wants to do that, what an inconvenience). Our 1st room smelled like someone had a smoking fest in it then sprayed febreeze so I went to front desk & asked for a different room, so much better smelling. Luke at the front desk was exceptional, helpful & most courteous. He shld be promoted to Mngr. The blonde girl the next morning at the desk complete opposite, seemed as if she was dazed and confused. We were here May 29-30, normally we stay at the one in Port Clinton however this was Memorial Day Wknd & that one had no vacancy so we ended up at this one in Milan. The one in Port Clinton has softer beds, up to date bathrooms, swept carpets, open indoor pool, very nice breakfast and super clean! The current mngr here needs to perform better, there is no reason the pool shldnt hv been open by Memorial Day Wknd, breakfast needs improvement and the room that smelled horribly like smoke should have been addressed by room service & mngt shld be spot checking rooms weekly. Mngt shld be having conversation with housekeeping advising them if they come across smoke smelling rooms as they are cleaning what to do in that instance. There is no excuse for a guest to walk into a room that smells that badly from smoke and then to hv a maid/housekeeper just spray something to hide the smell is ridiculous and pure laziness. I hv housekeeping experience in a cpl of nice hotels it’s not a hard job to keep a clean room. Overall a nice hotel just needs good management which at this time doesn’t exist.|Again, Luke is a terrific asset to this company and I hope the owner(s) recognize that!! (He knows what it takes).

Positive: Staff at the front desk was absolutely wonderful!!! Negative: The breakfast could hv been better, maybe add biscuits gravy and croissant to put the sausage Pattie¿s on. Rooms were sold out at the same hotel but in Port Clinton or we wld have stayed there. Pool was not open at this hotel.

Super nice hotel with personable, friendly staff. The room was clean and fresh, beautifully decorated.....and large enough for 3 adults, a baby, and a 3'x3' play yard (without taking up any walking space); we still had room to spare. The breakfast area was clean and efficient. The food was plentiful with lots of options. Very delicious! They left the bill under the door (like in days past) so I didn't need to "check out" other than dropping off my keys at the front desk. Then later that day, I received a text from the manager thanking me for staying! That has never happened before. I responded back, and she then sent another acknowledgement text. I was impressed. I'm blown away that this amazing hotel only charged me <$90 per night! I've paid a lot more at lesser hotels. If you're coming to Sandusky or Cedar Point, you should book this hotel; you won't be disappointed. I will definitely be back!

The staff was great. Breakfast was very good. The cheese omelets were delicious. The room was clean and quiet. The price was reasonable. The only issue is that the toilet didn't flush very well. I don't think it was a water pressure issue as the shower had plenty.

was here when it got hit by a truck and had to be evacuated. staff was great to get us in there sister hotel next door, but sister hotel charged us for the room as well. Took a week to get the refund.

I've already put up one fantastic review but now I must add to it. While in the laundry room a worker came in and we asked a question. He said he did not speak English. But then he got out his phone and brought up a translating app and we asked the question in English it translated it to Spanish and then he gave his answer in Spanish and showed us the phone with the answer in English. Never been any place like this they think of everything it is wonderful. Okay
