Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Roanoke Rapids, NC - Hotel in Roanoke Rapids - 101 Hampton Blvd, USA

I stayed for 3 nights in this disappointing hotel in early August 2024. I arrived at my king suite room at 1am and went straight to bed. Next morning, I awoke to find a wet carpet next to my bed from a leaky AC. The management offered to "put a blower in my room". Instead, I requested a different king suite. None were available, so I agreed to the next night in a smaller room for 1 night only. That room was acceptable. When I was next moved to another king suite, after 1 night, the noisy AC made sleep a challenge. I notified management that morning and was told it would be resolved "in a couple of hours". By 3:30pm, no AC fix and no one could tell me when a fix may happen. I then requested another room and was told that would cost me a penalty "because we've already moved you twice", said Kierra Preston, Assistant GM at Country Inn and Suites , 7860 Plantation Rd., Roanoke, VA. When I then promptly checked out, I was told I would be charged for that night anyway. On account of that overreach, I have now opened a dispute claim with my CC company. In my experience, this poorly maintained hotel is run by unresponsive, uncaring staff. Easily the worst hotel stay ever!

Lipstick on a pig! Gross! Pool closed permanatly! We picked this hotel because of the closeness to the motorcycle track with our 2 small children and picked it because we chose pool in our search, but guess we should have read all of the description! First, we came in to check in and the person at the desk was on a personal call. She barely greeted us, when we saw the sign the pool was closed and questioned it, she just said yes and gave us no sorry or anything with 2 children who were now told they had no chance of swimming. Definatley not worth the price. The remodel you can tell has been completed in a hurry without much thought. Rooms are tiny, beds too and you can pretty much swing your legs over the bed and be in ths bathroom. A small spider ran across our daughter's pillow. The bathroom was terrible as well. Half glass shower and half shower curtain. The shower head was spewing out the side and got the toilet paper roll all wet. The floor coming in to the room was sticky. Breakfast was a joke. Waffle machine was down, coffee was terrible like others have said, only hot option was bacon. Only one side of the toaster worked. Luckily there is a Cracker Barrel and Waffle House in the vicinity. But I would not reccomend this place! You pay the price of a Hilton but get the quality of a Red Roof Inn.

Stayed here over a holiday weekend for a family reunion, they were able to put all of us that were travelling near each other! Rooms were clean, staff was friendly, breakfast was delicious!

Positive: I called ahead to have rooms close together because I had my 90 year mother with us. The gal was. Dry accommodating. Negative: There interior halls were rough looking, so was the flooring. However our room was very nice.

Positive: Nothing. Negative: Everything. Check in was horrible. Room was very small, raggedy and musty smelling. Overpriced dump. Pool is permanently closed. House keeping knocked on the door 3 times prior to check out asking what time we were leaving, so rude.

I booked a Pet friendly room and had no pets, so the front desk receptionist fixed my room for me. She was very pleasant checking in at 830pm. The room on the other hand, nice but shower was dirty. Needed a good chemical scrub, Wendy's left in trash can from previous guest. But stayed and got some sleep.

Positive: Location Negative: Bathroom caulk was discolored and in poor repair. There was a beverage ring on the end table that was easily cleaned up by me. The room could have been cleaner.

Very clean!!!! Staff were polite and helpful. Pool was closed but that wasn't a problem for us. Rooms clean . Bedding clean. No BUGS. No odors. Breakfast bar was clean and fresh. I was on the first floor and it was quite. Really enjoyed my stay. Definitely will return!!!
