The room was not ready until 5pm, even though 4pm is normal check in. The clerk at the front desk just though that's the way it is!||The room was dirty and not fully stocked with toiletries. The balcony door lock was broken and would not lock. The blackout drapes on one side were missing one of the closing rods.||The walls had several damage knicks and gashes along with dirt particles splashed on walls. The air conditioner vent was very dirty and probably had not been serviced for a year.||The breakfast was horrible. The eggs were not real eggs, and the sausage was not real sausage meat. How cheap!!! ||My stay consisted of 4 nights. On the 4th day nobody visited the room to provide towels and soap or empty the trash. That evening, I had to go down to the front desk to get what I needed for the night and next day. They did not seem to be very concerned and basically told me it was my fault that I did not request housekeeping. I told her that I did not have to request service on any other days previously.||Last but not least, there is a homeless man that sleeps on the bench outside the front door every night. So, from the parking lot to the entrance, one just hopes to get inside safely. Not a good situation for business. I do not understand why the police were not called or why the inn allowed this to happen every night. If the inn wanted him to sleep there, they should have gotten him his own room. Maybe it wasn't check in time!!!!

Positive: It was clean as far as I could see. The bed was comfortable the linen smell fresh. Negative: The only thing I can really say is professionalism at the front desk. They seem very unorganized. Maybe they were busy but still there should be something in place to keep them organized, and I scramble around.

Positive: Plenty of parking space, friendly and professional staff, OK breakfast. Negative: My room had a roach, the building was understaffed and therefore we needed to specifically request room service in advance, the swimming pool was very small.

The stay is great! Very clean with awesome prices! Staff is friendly and very helpful! I loved the pool and workout area. They serve you breakfast early in the morning and it is awesome!||Definitely booking again soon 😊

We were in town visiting friends and this was close by. The hotel is very nice and clean. What they’re lacking in is breakfast options. No fruit, pastries, yogurt etc. Just eggs and sausage. We’ve had more to eat at budget hotels. And no we do not expect a large meal, just a few choices. The free cookies when checking in are self-serve, where kids are running by helping themselves and no longer fresh baked. Our biggest complaint is the 7 am text telling us how to check-out in the morning. Really? Awake, no but we were then!

WARNING: This hotel requires and will photocopy your drivers license. They do not disclose this in their policies when booking your room nor do they inform you of this when checking in. I do not object to showing my identification when checking in but having been a victim of identity theft in the past I do not hand over my drivers license to a hotel without letting it get out of my sight. When the front desk attendant attempted to make a photocopy of my drivers license without my approval, I objected. I was then informed that it was mandatory to make a photocopy in order to stay there and she would have to get approval, from her manager, in order not to. She called her manager and was told it was indeed mandatory. She could not inform me of their security measures of the photocopy or how long it would be on file. I have been a Choice Privileges member over thirty years, have stayed at their fine hotels hundreds of nights and have never been refused a stay due to this type of policy. I called Choice hotels customer service and to their benefit, they tried to convince the Country Inn hotel, who is under their chain, to let me stay without a photocopy to no avail. Choice hotels, also to their benefit, was able to give me a refund as the first night was non-cancellable by that time, having booked weeks in advance on my credit card. Lucky for me, I was able to book a four night stay at the Holiday Inn Resort down the street which at the time had vacancies and did not have the same policy of photocopying my drivers license. Beware.

We were accommodated for six rooms during the busiest time of the year and graciously given all our on the same floor. Which doesn’t normally happen I was extremely pleased with this hotel with their staff and with the location this is my new spot when I come to Panama City beach

The room was good, only downgraded because the bed was so firm, that it killed our backs. It was almost like sitting/laying on a floor. The service was good - everyone was friendly, & helpful. Only got downgraded because we never saw housekeeping. It may be their policy to not clean/refresh the rooms on stay-over guests - but it was never mentioned, or posted, that we would be required to request housekeeping during our stay. We had to get extra towels, etc, at the front desk, throughout our stay. The location was excellent, we were close to nearly everything we wanted to be at. The primary reason for a 3-star, overall, was the very uncomfortable (to us) beds, with super soft pillows, & the pool that was too cold to even swim in comfortably. (My wife did a penguin encounter, at Gulf World, & she said the water for the penguins - at approximately 68°, was almost warmer.) So, if you expect a pool that is at a comfortable temp, or a hot tub, that's not happening. Breakfast was available, which apparently alternates between biscuits (that were generally hard) & gravy, & scrambled eggs with sausage links. The sausage was good! Also available for breakfast were the usual cereals, toast, bagels, yogurt, etc.
